3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: DEC 7, 2008 [12 oz. bottle] Deep copper color with a sticky looking white head. Very sweet and malty nose with hints of dough, toffee, citrus and biscuits. Initial taste is very malty with hints of toffee, biscuit and some hops and a slight sweet taste at the end. Slightly bitter aftertaste. A little thin in the body.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Clear copper with a dense mostly lasting off-white head. Excellent glass lacing. Fairly malty nose, but there are some lurking hops in there. Quite malty up front, buscuits and cookie dough, medium hoppiness, medium-light bitterness. I am not getting the powerful grapefruit that I see mentioned in other ratngs. Body is medium-light with a bit of astringency in the finish. Not bad but pretty run of the mill.

Bottle pored a great dark amber with no head at all.
nice aroma of fruit and caramel.
Taste was like the aroma , sweet but not so much to make it undrinkable for me as I do not like very sweet beers.
not bad at all!

2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Clear amber color, hoppy, dry, definitely lacks the malty backside of a good ESB. The missing balance makes it disappointing. on tap at Left Handís brewery

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
This is one of those beers that I find most difficult to rate... Itís very well balanced, easy to drink and delicious in its own special way but itís hardly a powerhouse in flavor country. So whatís a beer geek to do? Well, shit. I havenít figured that out yet so Iím just gonna play it by ear. Sawtooth ale pours a nice brown color and those nice little rings of lace with each sip. Flavorwise, as I said, itís no powerhouse but itís well balanced and very tasty. I noticed a real subtle but very there hint of raspberry which I felt lent a unique edge to this otherwise ordinary extra special bitter (howís that for an oxymoron?). I like it. Itís a good session ale.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Copper color with minimal head that laced well. The aroma is all caramel. Flavor-wise, this seemed more like a Bass, less like a Fullers. Intereseting to see that the water used is especially hard, as something is behind the minerals picked up in the taste. Seemed watery at first, but malt kicked in at the end. LIvely palate

Dark amber appearance, with a decent white head. Malt and caramel flavor. Not a bad beer.

Bottle - very nice refreshing hop aroma. I really enjoyed just sitting and smelling this brew! Yeah, Iím a little weird. Copperish-bronzish color with a quickly dissipating white head. The flavor matches the aroma. Nicely malty with a hop finish. I want more!

Left hand is a beer that Iíve really enjoyed. Hope this one lives up to the others that preceeded this one. Nice hoppy, malty beer. Tea leaf undertone. Left hand makes great beer, this one is good but its not the style of beer I normally consume. Good effort for this one.
