Commercial Description:
Sawtooth Ale is an English style Extra Special Bitter. It is an extremely well balanced beer, with significant hop character, medium body, and a maltiness which increases in evidence as the beer warms to its "proper" drinking temperature. . The water used is quite hard, bringing it to near Burton on Trent levels, keeping it true to the style. This gives it the appropriate character and improves the malt extract significantly.

Draft-Poured a dark copper color with a small off white head.Aroma is of malt, nuts and mild hops. The flavor was also most definetly malt, but also some bitterness that I really did not like that much.An OK Beer,I guess.

Dark clear amber pour with a good off-white head. Aroma is mostly sweet amber malt – pretty full aroma – just not very complex. The flavor is thin but sweet – amber malt with a slightly bitter hop finish. Medium to light bodied on the palate without much carbonation. Overall: good, but, on the whole, pretty simple.

No real aroma to speak of. Beautiful copper color. Slight hops - not for hop heads. Very sessionable.

Bomber - Good session beer. Pours amber with a thin whispy white head. It has just enough hops to balance the malt.

Bottle. Amber body with thin off white head. All I get is caramel malts on the nose along with maybe some nuts. Taste is caramel malts with a hint of nuts and hops. Short, bitter bite in the finish. Nice and drinkable.

The beer pours a light amber with a thin head that dissipates quickly leaving fine lacing. The nose is all sweet malts. The taste is sweet malts and a hint of caramel and hops. The finish is sweet and short.

Bottle. Amber pour with an off white head. Mild roasted nutty aroma with an earthy hop presence. Flavor is dominated (in a good way) by an earthy hop flavor. I like it.
