ansermadide (496), Kyle, Texas, USA May 16, 2008 Updated: May 24, 2008Little carbonation, but GREAT, foamy head. Orange-amber color. Not too much to the aroma. Flavor is mellow, but tasty. Slightly hoppy. Pretty tame, easy to drink. Just enough flavor to keep you from getting too bored. norsedoc (162), USA May 14, 2008 Bottle. Copper beer with dense beige head. Crisp floral aroma. Soft palate, tastes of caramel with a little bittersweet chocolate. Not very hoppy, clean finish. mhelgason (495), Charlotte, North Carolina, USA May 13, 2008 bottle. clear amber body with fizzy off-white head (some dissapating). decent lacing. aromas of floral hops, caramel, and light spices. flavor is bittersweet. not bad. mgumby10 (1844), Jupiter, Florida, USA May 10, 2008 Pours a cloudy amber color with a small off white head. Smells of light piney hops and grapefruit citrus. Probably more of the fruity citrus comes through than pine though. Pretty fresh and crisp tasting, although maybe a touch overcarbonated on the palate. The flavor is mostly the same citrus and hop mix. Nothing really different, or interesting for that matter, comes out in the taste. A little bit earthy, with a dry, lightly bitter finish. Pretty uninspiring, but certainly drinkable. voota (761), Melbourne, Australia May 9, 2008 Hazy copper with a pretty small tan head. Really earthy, dry toffee aroma. Some custard, pears too. Nice malty body belies the alcohol strength, a bit salty in the mouthful. Dry, fruity flavour, has lots of those earth tones you can only find in fuggles, it works really well. Toffee flavours and a slight hint of sweetness hit near the finish, which is otherwise fairly quick. A good beer, but I dont think I could drink too much of it for some reason. Crafty07 (391), Florence, Kentucky, USA May 7, 2008 Last reviewer nailed it, copper color, small head, sweet malt with slightly larger hop presense than expected.
Very good ESB. redgold07 (308), Irving, Texas, USA May 4, 2008 Pours a full copper color with little head. Aroma is of sweet malt as well as some hop bitterness. Flavor is a bit sweet, of sugary malt with a little more hop presence than I expected. Quite good.
12 oz. bottle. kidmartinek (972), austin, Texas, USA May 3, 2008 Light amber in color. 2 inch frothy off white head. Great, hoppy aroma. Strong hoppy taste, with some bread notes. Palate is a little runny and weak (watery). Malty finish.
