Beautiful clear amber with a nice 2 finger head that shrinks down to about half it’s size with nice window lacing. Citrus and hops, mostly on the nose. Slightly nutty aroma in the finish. The palate has the same characteristic with the addition of a mild malty taste. All of these flavors are muted. It’s Difficult to describe, as the flavors are all there, but not in a big way. The beer isn’t watered down, just muted. It’s got great balance. This could be a great stepping stone beer for that special someone who is reluctant to try micros. And, dare I say, session beer? travita (1887), Frisco, Texas, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 8, 2008 Pours a beautiful red with a substantial head. Medium lacing. Nose has hints of grapefruit and bread. Taste starts out fairly weak but builds up with malt and hops blending nicely. Mouthfeel is watery. Aftertaste allows the hops to break through, and lingers quite a while. rugbydude05 (285), Kew Gardens, New York, USA

Aroma is moderately hopped and kind of sweet/caramelly. Taste reflects the smell, kind of sweet while still retaining a bitter quality. Didnt have it chilled too cold which added to the drinkability. Smooth and full of flavor. PattyBoy (302), North Liberty, Iowa, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 24, 2008 Strong molasses malts, with light chocolate malts, some light hops and a tangy butter, brown sugar aroma. Pour is a frothy, off-white head that goes away completely covering a light amber body. Taste is malty and a bit nutty upfront with some light hop bitterness in the finish. Watery mouthfeel, fizzy carbonation. GJF (492), Cedar Rapids, Iowa, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 22, 2008 Nice deep golden color, small white head. The palate is creamy and the flavor is thick, a nice mellow bitterness on the finish. It’s quite good, but it’s a fairly safe, standard version of an ESB. shackinetics (132), Florida, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 22, 2008 Amber/copper color with thin head. A somewhat hoppy citrus nose. Well balanced, smooth biscuit malt flavoring. Not as hoppy as my favorites, but a solid beer. Gonna have to find more left hand offerings.
