Jan 2, 2008 Poured a great orange color with a small head. Smells of Citrus, particularly Orange with a hint of spice. Maybe I tried this beer too late in the night because it was a bit too bitter for me at the time. Taste was of hops, orange, and a little too watery. Not my favorite ale, but not bad. I should try this again before I have three or 4 beers in me.

Jan 2, 2008 Pours a nice clear copper collor with a fine, quickly disappearing white head. Aroma is light with notes of citrus and malt. Decent mouthfeel leads to a fairly smooth and balanced taste. I note some nutty characteristics along with the malt and hops. A slightly sour finish. Not a bad beer.

Dec 31, 2007 Pours copper with a small white head. Malty nose, with an earthy hop and nutty aroma. Kinda reminded me of a scotch ale with some of the earthy/meaty malt flavors, hops were mellow, but provided enough bitterness to balance.

Dec 30, 2007 Decent aroma. Poured a light golden. Medium hop character. Nothing special about this beer but it was middle grade. Would buy again but not to show off to anyone.

Dec 27, 2007 Poured from a bottle. Poured a deep copper-orange color with a white head. Muted malt aroma with some citrus hops. Flavor of caramel malts with some nutty flavors leads into a muted hop finish. Decent body, but somewhat thin. Overall it was ok, but I am not a big ESB guy to begin with.

Dec 25, 2007 Pours a hazy dark orange color with offwhite fizzy head. Aroma is a real nice sweeter citrus hop presence. Flavor is a slight bit sweet caramel but mostly more citric tartness that mellows with more earthy hop presence. Overall, enjoyable.

Dec 17, 2007 Bottle: Amber pour topped by an off-white, whispy head. Earthy cracker malt aroma, with light sweet hints and a subtle citrus component. Simple flavor. Has a light caramel sweetness upfront, which leads to some seedy qualities later, and a metallic hint as well. The finish has a very mild nutty note, and the slightest, restained fuggle character. A simple E.S.B., that needs more bitterness, in my humble opinion.
