Commercial Description:
Sawtooth Ale is an English style Extra Special Bitter. It is an extremely well balanced beer, with significant hop character, medium body, and a maltiness which increases in evidence as the beer warms to its "proper" drinking temperature. . The water used is quite hard, bringing it to near Burton on Trent levels, keeping it true to the style. This gives it the appropriate character and improves the malt extract significantly.

Pours a hazy orange colour with a small fizzy off white head. Aroma of sweet malts and grapefruit hops. Initial taste is citrus hops with a very thin body. Slight hops and malts on the palate that is weak. Some head retention.

Slight caramel and floral aroma notes. Nice copper color and great head retention. A good hop balance with a decent amount of mouthfeel, however it may benefit from more body.

I enjoyed this beer. Amber appearance with no head. Strong sweet caramel aroma, malty caramel flavor, doesn’t sound too special but very enjoyable.

Bottle. So very, very mediocre. Well balanced to the point of oblivion and that’s where it fails. This beer left absolutely no impression on me whatsoever.

The aroma is caramel like with nuts and toffee. The appearance is amber with a decent head. The flavor is like the aroma and quite bitter. The palate is OK but overall it’s a good beer.

Copper-coloured and a begie head. Body is hazy. The head is first big and creamy but soon falls down. Aroma has nuts, dark fruits and toffee. Also some strawberrys. Flavor brings nuts, burnt malt. Also little grassy and sweet.
