ehhdayton (1113), USA Jul 24, 2006 Light malty aroma with some fruit is accompanied by a pour that is golden with a white head. Nice body with a malty beginning and a slightly fruity finish. ilikestuff (222), Fort Worth, Texas, USA Jul 17, 2006 Very malty aroma, with a slightly sweet tinge. Good body with flavors of barley, and some fruity citrus, slightly bitter, not as much as some ESB’s. Foggy amber color with a medium foamy tan head that leaves a ring around the glass. harlequinn (2745), Tacoma, Washington, USA Jul 4, 2006 Ripe citrus aroma, with some floral hops coming through as well. An appealing taste of many different fruits at the center of this beer. Malt profile is slightly chewy, this is a well balanced beer that you can really wrap your palate around. Satisfying with a ingratiating lingering aftertaste. T2Tool (352), Murfreesboro, Tennessee, USA Jul 1, 2006 Poured from 12 oz. bottle. An orange tint with a nice off-white head. Bit sweeter than most ales, but a very good aftertaste. PorterPounder (3128), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Jun 26, 2006 Gift from Aurelius on his travels. 22 oz bomber. Dark orange pour, slightly murky with a silky smooth off-white head. Clean, floral fresh aroma with just a hint of spruce. Flavor is very melony with pears mixed in. Solid, subtle bitterness which makes for good session material. Good, solid sticky mouthfeel. Enjoyed this at the beach - Cape San Blas, Fl. ratman197 (3130), Arvada, Colorado, USA Jun 18, 2006 Bottle poured a clear light amber with a large lasting ivory head. Aromas of graininess, carmel and light hints of citrus. Palate waslight bodied and crisp. Flavors of grain, light carmel and a bit of citrus with a lingering lightly bitter finish. Lowe1983 (1029), Fairborn, Ohio, USA Jun 16, 2006 Pours an amber color with a thin off-white head. Aroma is of citrus and pine hops, caramel and slight sweet malts. Flavor is the same, a little more sweet then I was expecting, but still has a bitter finsish. Better then I was expecting but still not my favorit ESB. kujo9 (1077), North Ridgeville, Ohio, USA Jun 2, 2006 12 oz bottle: Hazy medium amber w/ a short lived off white head. Toasty malt, herbal hop, and and lightly cardboardy. I think this beer may have been slightly abused since I did not purchase it. Also has a hint of caramel and lightly green apple fruit aroma. Well balanced, if a bit to bitter, herbal/earthy hop flavor is light. FInish is a bit dry w/ a toasty malt and light cardboardy aftertaste. Fruity flavor is mild throughout. Medium carbonation, but very prickly, lighter medium body is on the smooth side once the carbonation bite tones down. Overall not a bad beer, just not very exciting.
