oldrtybastrd (1801), Morlautern, Germany/Great Falls, Montana, USA Mar 1, 2006 Pours a nice reddish orange color. Aromas of nice citrus/grapefruit hops and sweet malts. Flavor starts nice crisp bitter hop and then mellows to a nice dry finish. theshocker (329), Marietta, Georgia, USA Feb 25, 2006 Dark reddish tan in color with a small off white head. Spicey but minimal aroma. Smooth flavor but with some bitterness in the backend. Its ok but doesn’t do too much for me. dkoonce (879), People’s Republic of Athens, Ohio, USA Feb 14, 2006 Bottle. Sour yeast aroma. Nice amount of hops but, the finish is a bit flat. Good body and a bit of fizzyness. Very drinkable! 2beerguys (299), North Shore, Massachusetts, USA Feb 9, 2006 Sawtooth has a nice aroma, and tastes a very bitter, hoppy beer. There is a hint of chocolate without the sweet. It develops a full foamy head that lingers on the glass. mnurda (434), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada Feb 9, 2006 A great tasting beer. Just bitter enough. Just enough hops. Just enough carbonation. Wish we could get it here. gnoff (3559), Göteborg, Sweden Feb 7, 2006 Bottle at The Rover, February 7, 2006.
Dark amber color. Very hoppy scent and flavor.
I must praise it due to the hoppy character, only problem is that this kind of hops is not my cup of tea at all.
Well worth sampling though! barleyPops (1078), Quad-Cities, Illinois, USA Feb 4, 2006 commercial description is pretty accurate on this one. problam was I ordered this at Old Chicago. After being served the beer without a glass and then having to wait 10 minutes to finally get it, I was brought a frosted mug! By the time it was at the "proper" temperature, it was almost time to leave. amber color with a good foamy head, toasty malt and decent hop bitterness. tronraner (1905), Maryville, Tennessee, USA Jan 16, 2006 Bottle. Pours clear copper with a soapy off-white ehad. The aroma is smooth malt and faint earthy hops. The flavor is mostly sweet malt, but not very strong. There are also some earthy hops and a general ashiness that especially comes out in the aftertaste. Not bad, but no tparticulaly satisfying.
