4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 BeerAteHer (384) - St. Paul, Minnesota, USA - MAR 22, 2005
One of the best American ESB’s! Intense floral hoppiness, yet balanced with biterness to distinguish it from a pale ale. Hard water is evident, nice on the tongue. Classic ESB finish showing strong maltiness and earthy minerals.

Bottle (HWC): Rich amber color with just a wisp of foam. Aroma is very light and malt sweet. Flavor is light and malty with a light citrus hoppiness and a lingering dry finish. Palate is smooth, but light.
2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 can8ianben (1229) - Souderton, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 17, 2005
Wasn’t overly impressed... it seemed to be a fairly plain beer. It could have used some more hop flavour for sure. The colour was nice.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 elnadeau (786) - Laguna Niguel, California, USA - MAR 2, 2005
Pours amber with real small head, very light malt aroma. A drinkable and balanced ESB, not bad but nothing stands out here.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 jimhilt (2274) - Bow, New Hampshire, USA - FEB 28, 2005
Pours a two-finger cream head that soon goes leaving traces of lace. Clear amber color. Light carbonation and light bodied. Slight malty nose. Starts with a mix of hops and malts with the malts dominating, some sweetness, very drinkable different from a lot of ESBs that are hoppy. $1.70 for a 12oz bottle from Colonial Spirits Acton, MA.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Murphy (1759) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - FEB 27, 2005
Golden, medium head. Medium to light bodied, with a strong earthy malt presence. Not bad for "drinkin" beer.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 ante (3374) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - FEB 20, 2005
Amber, small bubbly head. Sweet floral toffee aroma. Fruity but a bit thin flavour of peaches and toffee with vague floral aftertaste. Round light body.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Dorwart (2266) - Robbinsville, New Jersey, USA - FEB 12, 2005
Decent frothy head. Creamy on top. Light carbonation. Light hops aroma with a bit of caramel and malts. Color is a slightly hazy orange amber. Sharp metallic flavor. More piney hops and a hint of orange. Dry palate. Kind of thin body. Finish is dry and bitter and leaves the tongue looking for more. Ok brew but could be a lot better.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 TheBeerGod (4635) - Newport News, Virginia, USA - FEB 7, 2005
Bottle. Pours a reddened amber body with a small white head. Nose is toasty malts, light caramel and light hops. Taste is nicely hopped and slightly spicy and earthy . More toasted malts and light caramel or toffee notes also. Body is surprisingly full bodied with a medium-full carbonation feel. Finishes with more earthy and lightly spiced hops along with light bitterness and toasty malts. Minimal sweetness in the finish. Some dry notes during the finish as well. Not too bad!

Not a bad selection! Left Hand Brews continue to surprise me. Nice and balanced, very enjoyable to drink.
