COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sawtooth Ale is an English style Extra Special Bitter. It is an extremely well balanced beer, with significant hop character, medium body, and a maltiness which increases in evidence as the beer warms to its "proper" drinking temperature. . The water used is quite hard, bringing it to near Burton on Trent levels, keeping it true to the style. This gives it the appropriate character and improves the malt extract significantly.

On nitro tap. Nose like a classic ESB. Head white and thick color red amber. Initial taste is clean slighlty hoppy building on a more hoppy note on the end. Easy drinking I could drink this all day. Well balanced not overpowering in any aspect.

Awesome. This beer is quite tasty. Nice molasses nose. Huge notes of bread, oats, walnuts, honey, bread and dough. Slight hoppiness. Beautiful apperance, creamy head good lacing, great color of reddish brown. This is one of the best beers of this type I have tasted.

Pours a copper/caramel color with a nice white head. Musty aroma on first pour, but as the beer warmed slightly, the floral hop notes became more pronounced and wonderful. Tasty bitterness rolling across my palate. Bitterness was pleasant and not overdone. I enjoyed this beer tremendously and was shocked to see it scoring so poorly in here. This is a complex brew that I thought was fabulous.

This caught me off guard as I was expecting grapefruit rind style bitter but was very satisfied with the smooth mild I’d say sweetness over bitter. The maltiness iS spot on and iS carbonated well. The head iS small and the color when poured iS a nice red hue. The aroma iS mellow and sweet pretty much like the brew itself. Overall this iS what I was looking for and not an over bitter brew. On the side this brew iS good cold but iS better half way through as it warms up slightly.

A great tasting beer. Just bitter enough. Just enough hops. Just enough carbonation. Wish we could get it here.

This is a very solid ale. Can only recommend it. Hard to find in liquor stores in the midwest if not impossible.

Very nice beer. Great color - looks (and tastes) a bit like a red ale. Has a slightly hoppy aftertaste, but not too strong - which I like. I'd definitely get this one again.

This is good. Orange color, some malt in the had and definitely in the first sip. A pretty easy finish and really a nice-drinking beer.

Nice coppery color with a very nice (appley?) aroma. Nice mixture of the hoppy and the malty with a very smooth taste.
