Has a fruity aroma that is also apparent in the taste. Somewhat sour, noticeable grapefruit flavor. Starts out sweet, but has a bitter, dry finish. Overall, a complex brew with appealing nuances. It is a very well balanced beer, containing a good bit of woody hops and an almost caramelly sweetness. Solid drink. Hoss (602), Florida, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 3, 2004 Clear coppery color, with small, but suitable off-white head. Aroma is clean, but fruity, with hints and dribbles of citrus, grapefruit, fresh and zesty. Taste is zippy, with delicious spritzes of hops that maintain a presence throughout the finish and all through the contents of the bottle. Great balance, smooth, but full of flavor.
Normally I turn my nose at ESBs, but this one has style, body, and taste that many lack.

Flavor stands out very well, although not too much like an ESB. A slight yeasty flavor. Good. Tmoney99 (4809), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
