Biscuit and earthy hop aroma. Sweet flavor but not cloying or sticky..clean with a good hop balance. Caramel malts and nutty flavor like a toasted victory malt followed by a nice mellow spicy hop finish. Very nicely balanced. Jonte (833), Gothenburg, Sweden

Smells of fruity/citrus hoppiness, apricot, sweet caramel and some yesty sourness. I really like the smell of cascade hops. The taste is fruity, mostly citrus, but also some more sweet fruits and caramel/toffee. Nice smooth finish with moderate bitterness.
Medium body and light carbonation.
High drinkability and a good session ale. One more please!

First sip and I thought I was back in the Midlands holding a real pint of beer. Great balance between the hops and malt that cleanses the palate on every sip. Great deep bronze color and tan head that laces to the bottom. I’ll keep some of this around. I’d love to find it on tap somewhere in Nashville. HighlanderOne (547), Somewherein, New Jersey, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 29, 2009 Poured from bottle. I smell caramel, vanilla ice cream. Clear amber, persistent tan head. Malts beat out hops in the flavor, giving a nice creamy feel with a hop aftertaste. Will not be confused with an IPA. Low carbonation gives it a smooth feel. Finished nicely. Unique and good. joet (1709), Fulton, California, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 30, 2002 I often fail to follow a basic rule of rating -- make sure the beer is at the right temperature. I was all set to give this beer a fairly low score, but then, when it got warm enough, it improved dramatically. Copper filtered body with no head. The aroma is grapefruit/pine. The flavor is the same, and unlike others, i taste primarily hops (not that it’s unbalanced). Goes down with a pleasant bitterness.
