COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sawtooth Ale is an English style Extra Special Bitter. It is an extremely well balanced beer, with significant hop character, medium body, and a maltiness which increases in evidence as the beer warms to its "proper" drinking temperature. . The water used is quite hard, bringing it to near Burton on Trent levels, keeping it true to the style. This gives it the appropriate character and improves the malt extract significantly.

File under drink it and forget it. Pours clear amber and is nearly scentless. Creamy mouthfeel with a slightly sweet taste. Shortest rate of my career. Draft - Brick Store Pub - Decatur, GA

Nitro draft to taster. Looks solid; it settles into a transparent orange with creamy white nitro head. Smells and tastes lightly sweet and hoppy. Nice and smooth on the palate. An easy drinker; nothing more, nothing less.

Bottle. Pours a hazy orange beer with a small white head on it. Aroma is slightly floral and citrussy. Flavour is not so bitter, a bit malty and bland. Medium to short finish, light bitterness. Quite bland and easy drinkable.. not much special..

Pours copper colour. Aroma nothing special. Full of malts and not enough hops for me. Really didn’t impress me.

Botella de 12 fl.oz. Riquísima bitter. Marrón claro. Espuma media. Carbonatación justa. Aroma frescos. Sabor a lúpulo pero sin ser una bomba, muy equilibrada. Para beber y no cansarse

Bottle from Hazel’s beverage world. Amber color, white head. Bitter taste with caramel, nuts, citrus, a bit of metallic aroma and hops. Smooth body with nice balance of malts and malts. Bitter finish with caramel and citrus. Very nice ESB.

9,9,8,8,11,8 - 8,40 - 1/6/13

It’s a good entry into the English "style" ESB. But has some very American characteristics throughout. Especially when it comes to the profile of the hops on the nose and tongue. Very drinkable and worth trying again.
