COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The usually peaceful St. Vrain River snakes out of the Rocky Mountains, winding mischievously towards our brewery. Named after Ceran St. Vrain, an 1800’s trapper and trader in the valley, St. Vrain is our version of a classic Belgian Tripel. Light in color and lightly hopped using Celeia hops, a touch of malt sweetness contrasts the warm spiciness hidden within. What at first appears benevolent can manifest into a mighty serpent in waiting.

Draft sampled at The Bad Apple, Chicago. Pours clear golden with an off white head. Aroma of herbs, citrus, caramel and malt. Flavour is over moderate sweet and light moderate bitter. Medium bodied with light carbonation.

Bottle. Pours a fairly hazy light yellowish color with a very small head on it. Nose is actually quite light, and I can only get just a very faint bit of spice in the smell. Taste is a little sweet, and I think I get just a bit of banana in the taste. Decent drink, but nothing terribly remarkable.

22 oz. bottle shared by Steve- thanks again! Pours a hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma of lemon, florals, bready malts, apricot, and some herbs and spices. Flavor of lemon, apricot, sweet and bready malts, grass, florals, and golden raisins. Medium-bodied, with a sweet, fruity mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Good tripel. Hides the alcohol well.

Very light pour. Mild lacing. Aroma is complex, a little malty with a hint of citrus. Taste is dry malty a liitle off. Not my favorite tripel.

On guest tap at haymarket. Sweet very light bodied tripel. A littly wheatey flavor. Good but unexceptional.

Smak och doft av humle, belgisk jäst, koriander, citrus, gröna äpplen med toner av citron, honung och banan. Lagom söt, fruktig, rund och len med en örtig och lite pepprig beska. Gott

Really good beer actually. Problem is compared to all the great Tripples, it’s just ok. Has a lot of good going on, problems are it’s thin for the ABV and has a non traditional look without reason. It’s a very light X3!

The aroma contains banana and hints of compost and interestingly some cocos. Vey pale and clear with a bit to short lived foam. The taste is more sour than expected, not sure if this is intentional or not. Actually the sourness is pretty disturbing so maybe my beer has gone bad. There is however some nice maltiness in the finish. The beer has nice aroma and nice light and dry body it is a pity it is so disturbed by a bad taste.

Pours light cloudy yellow with fairly low white head. Aroma of yeast, honey, light grass, dough, light spices. Taste is balanced honey sweet with surprisingly low alcohol given the ABV. Body is medium and creamy with soft carbonation.
