750ml corked and caged ’06 Bottle 1/13/10 (Courtesy of RSRIZZO)-Poured a cloudy hazy golden yellow. Aroma of farmhouse, yeast, and funk. Taste of pear, fruits, and sweetness. This medium bodied brew was a little past it’s prime but still tasty.
3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20 TheJollyOne (222) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - DEC 15, 2011
Clear yellow body with no head at all, thinnest lace. Nose of candied apple, booze, sweet white sugar, vanilla and hint of grass. Huge booze notes from opening to finish, sweet apricot and pear flavorful and with impact! This is not meek, and has some distinct notes with bold flavors. It will not disappoint for character, but is it good? Actually I think it is! Palate is very thin and a bit soapy, little carbon. the more I sip it the more I think it may be too full on in flavor and alcohol. Decent.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 portableparty (1190) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - DEC 7, 2011
2009 bottle to St. Bernardus glass. Pours pale golden yellow with a tight foamy head that fades to a foamy tight film with a lingering carbonation. Aroma is oxidised citrus candied sugar with lemon coming to the nose with a malt and yeast as well. Taste is sweeet and bitter candied sugar with yeast and a solid breadiness along with a tangy citrus lemon finish. Palate is medium and chalky and finishes dry (making me want more). Decent brew, glad I got a chance to try this one. Not bad at all.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 drowland (3902) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - JUL 23, 2011
7/15/11. 22oz bottle. Hazy orange pour with a small off-white head that fades but laces plenty. Slight caramelly aroma with plenty of candi sugar, a bit much funk, and some yeast. Sweet, sugary flavor with plenty of orange peel and lingering yeast. Finishes on the dry side. A bit watery in flavor and feel.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 PorterPounder (4115) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - JUN 2, 2011
Tallahassee, Fl - Fermentation Market, 22 oz bomber. Pours a slightly cloudy dark golden, somewhat lifeless. Aroma is sweet and lemony with a hint of spice. Flavor is smooth, yet bold, with a spicy, grains of paradise onslaught up front. Hints of honey, lemon and a bit of yeast fill in the back end. Thick, but smooth mouthfeel. Solid.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 onceblind (1623) - Denver, Colorado, USA - MAY 25, 2011
A hazy yellow color that seems o emit its own light. Smells like a banana covered in honey. Taste has some banana again, but in the pre-ripe, still kinda green stage. Orange blossom honey evident, with some OJ. Spicy Belgian yeast finishes off. Pretty tasty, would do better on a heavier body. As it is, it’s a little light.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Thorpe429 (3824) - Alexandria, Virginia, USA - APR 14, 2011
Reviewed from notes. On tap at the brewery in August 2009.
Pours a very hazy golden color with a slight white head and lacing, though nowhere where this should be at with the style. The nose is a bit spicy with some light fruit and alcohol. There’s a bit of fruit in the taste as well as yeast and spice, but a bit plain. Quite a bit boozy in the feel. Drinks alright, but I prefer their hoppy stuff.
