Tired this one on tap in Rackhouse Pub. Clear coppery amber, no real head. Amazing aroma of boozy dark fruits and oak; vanilla, plum, cherry, and a dose of whiskey. Could smell this for hours. Taste starts really sweet but also really fruity, with a boozy kick that is well placed and mild enough to not offend anyone. Sweet dark fruity tones of raisin, cherry, and plum blend with sweet vanilla, oak, lots of boozy toffee, and a gentle whiskey tone that brings back the oak and vanilla in a big sweet way. Very malty and very fruity, and I cannot stress enough the extremely balanced whiskey tone with sweet vanilla tones. Oh man this is one amazing beer!
