Sane or senseless? Harmless or harmful? Sometimes it takes awhile to get to know a stranger. Initial impressions are not always reality, so you must delve deeper. Beyond the initial floral hop aromas, malt sweetness is revealed, yet with a spicy undertone that exposes a very rye sense of humor. Take your time to get to know the Stranger. It’s strangely satisfying.

Bottle. Moderate malt notes of light bread, grain and roasted, spruce and orange for the hops, light soap for the yeast with faint hints of wood, pepper and carambola. Head is small, frothy, white with some slippery lacing and is almost fully diminishing. Color is murky light amber/orange with a few small particles. Flavor starts lightly acidic and finishes lightly acidic and bitter. Palate is light to medium, watery with a lively carbonation. The orange-y hop profile, though subdued, is very noticable in the American Pale Ale.

Taste: lightly bitter and lightly sweet. slightly metallic aftertaste. some sour. not a lot of flavor here. Palate: light body, thin and slick texture. average carbonation. bitter finish. Overall: Pretty plain APA. Would make a good dession beer but nothing remarkable. Probably wont be buying this again.

Pours a very beautiful light orange with a large, lingering, frothy head. Aroma is rather weak: mildly hoppy citrus as well as grass/rye. There is an after taste of malt. Quite drinkable, but nothing outstanding.

Tasted on 2/29/12 from a 12oz bottle purchased at Whole Foods Green Hills. Pours hazy orange with an average white head that leaves average lace, and some lacing along the inside of the glass. The nose features some floral, noble-style hoppiness, and light bread malt. The flavor has some nicely bitter floral hops, with a hint of spice, and the same light bread malt. The body is light with average carbonation and a medium lightly bitter floral hops finish.

Fra kran på Olympen, Oslo 18 Okt 11. Lys gylden. OK kremaktig skum som ligger igjen i nivåer mens en jobber seg nedover i glasset. Litt uklar. Frisk fruktig aroma. Ananas & epler. God! Balansert fruktig smak. Sitrus & aprikos. Variert tørr bitterhet etterhvert.

Yellow bodied witb white head. Strong floral aroma with cereal malt, like potpourri and chex - not very good. Tastes a lot like it smells, not very good. Lighter body with fine carbonation. Wouldn’t get again.
