3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap @ Henrik, Bergen. Hazy honey-hued body, medium creamy white head, leaving laces on the sides of the glass. Nose is pale malts and grassy hops, with hints of cloudberry and caramel. Taste is mild and fresh grassy hop tones with some mellow malty tones. A nice APA, all in all, which seems a bit underrated IMO. Either the competition is crazy among the APAs, or I am missing something. Or the whole world is just WRONG, of course. I sometimes get that feeling and take comfort in the security of not at all being a narcissist.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tap @ Henrik, Bergen. This one pours a light cloudy golden body with a small creamy and sidesticking off-white head. Aroma is fruit-yeasty, some grapefruit, citrus, ripe strawberries, some nice sweet caramel and hints of some light watery hops. Itís lively to aggressive carbonated, has a oily to watery mouthfeel and itís medium to light-bodied. Tastes fizzing and a bit sharp. Thereís some fruity yeast in here, malts and some sharp hops. Ends nice bitter with a mild dry aftertaste. Not to exciting, but easy and light drinkable.

A rather average effort from Left Hand. Typical pale ale, with weak notes of malt, yeast and bread. Iíll pass next time.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Very clear amber with about a half of a finger of stark white head. A faint sweet aroma. The flavor is pretty muted, with just a bit of a hoppy bitterness at the end. Itís only okay.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Location: 12 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 8/19/11
Aroma: The nose is fairly dull, some light citrus, a bit spice, yeast, and a touch of butter
Appearance: This one pours a cloudy orange color with a small white head and spotty lace
Flavor: The taste is mildly sweet, with decent malts, and some vegetal and bitter flavors
Palate: This one is medium bodied, its fairly sticky on the mouth, with a somewhat dry, acidic finish
A beer called the Stranger from Left Hand brewery? Yes, there are quite a few good jokes in there, but Iíll use my better judgement and stay away... Anyway, this beer was fairly unimpressive. It isnít a bad Pale Ale, but it just isnít really all that good either. Fairly average.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
[Bottle] Clear amber pour with about an inch worth of creamy white head. Sweet and bready aroma is blended well with crisp floral hops. Caramel malts and an average amount of hop bitterness. Decent mouthfeel and body. No real off flavors here. Not bad, but also not memorable at all.
