COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sane or senseless? Harmless or harmful? Sometimes it takes awhile to get to know a stranger. Initial impressions are not always reality, so you must delve deeper. Beyond the initial floral hop aromas, malt sweetness is revealed, yet with a spicy undertone that exposes a very rye sense of humor. Take your time to get to know the Stranger. It’s strangely satisfying.

It’s a good beer, but not the best. I’m drinking this on an empty stomach, so it might be affecting my enjoyment. It’s definitely affecting my creativity, nothing profound to say. Just good.

Tap sample at the brewery. Clear golden color with a small white head. Grassy hop aroma, with some pine and clean malt. Light caramel flavor, crisp maltiness, mild fruitiness, pines and medium bitterness. Dry, refreshing, slightly oily texture, balanced and quite good.

12oz bottle from Binny’s Lakeview. Pours a clear, golden-copper colored body with a finger-width, frothy, off-white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is florals hops with a bit of a rye spice. Touches of lemon and a hint of toasted caramel. Flavor is similar. Floral lemons with a light rye spice, a light bready toast, a bit of a caramel note, and a slight papery hint before this finishes pretty dry and moderately bitter with a hint of toasty caramel and lemon. Medium length aftertaste following a medium body and a moderate carbonation. Overall, an alright pale ale. Some toasty caramels and a good amount of floral hops with a light rye spice. Eh.

This is a weird beer, something is wrong. The aroma is nice enough, a mild citrus hop. The flavor is just weird though. There is still some spicy citrus hop, clean crackery malts, but a weird metallic note and bitterness, something like sucking on a penny, otherwise dominates. There’s a good beer in here.

Hazy golden pour with white head. Aroma is citrus and malt. Taste seemed yeasty and leane d strongly to citrus rind. Not a top pick for me.

Very aromatic with floral hops and citrus peel. Fresh, fruity, hoppy taste. Has a light body that doesn’t carry the flavour through so well.

Single bottle. Hazy gold pour with a thick, choppy head. Skunky aroma. Dirty water taste with a crushed aspirin finish. Hopefully this was just a bad sample. Otherwise, it’s pretty awful. A poor substitute for Jackman’s, if that was the intent.

clear yellow liquid with a light orange glow... lovely fresh hops in aroma (citra? citrus?) both in nose and mouth... balanced bitterness but too watery to stand out

355ml bottle. Clear orangey golden colour with small, frothy, minimally lacing, white head. Cautious caramel malty aroma with a touch of orange and honey. Taste is cautious bitter hoppy, decent caramel malty basis. Boring.
