3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Aroma - Herbal, malty undertones.
Appearance - Clear and golden in color.
Taste- Malt sweetness not quite kept in check by the bitterness. Very little hop flavor. In past years this beer has been hoppier or at least I recall it being hoppier. Regardless of my memory, this beer needs a bit more hop flavor.
Palate: above average carbonation with a medium to light body, finishes a bit sweeter than I’d prefer.
Overall: Not as good as my first impression of this beer. I had this beer at least two or three times last year and was impressed with it’s flavor. It’s a pretty bland APA and I would not recommend it this year.

12 ounce bottle. Brassy gold color. Small bubbly white head with nice lace. Fresh citrus hop aroma. Toasted grainy malt flavor upfront. Slightly spicy rye malt flavor balanced by complex hops. This is a well crafted, medium bodied pale ale that is very quaffable.
