Sane or senseless? Harmless or harmful? Sometimes it takes awhile to get to know a stranger. Initial impressions are not always reality, so you must delve deeper. Beyond the initial floral hop aromas, malt sweetness is revealed, yet with a spicy undertone that exposes a very rye sense of humor. Take your time to get to know the Stranger. It’s strangely satisfying.

Aroma - Herbal, malty undertones. Appearance - Clear and golden in color. Taste- Malt sweetness not quite kept in check by the bitterness. Very little hop flavor. In past years this beer has been hoppier or at least I recall it being hoppier. Regardless of my memory, this beer needs a bit more hop flavor. Palate: above average carbonation with a medium to light body, finishes a bit sweeter than I’d prefer. Overall: Not as good as my first impression of this beer. I had this beer at least two or three times last year and was impressed with it’s flavor. It’s a pretty bland APA and I would not recommend it this year.

Clear medium yellow. Small white head. Wet grain. Grass. Straw. Very light fruity. Some caramel. Little peppery. Light body. Mild to moderate grassy/floral bitter. Pretty dry. Seems outdated. O.k.

Bottle from Mitsuya’s. Golden orange color with a modest eggshell colored head. Light aromas of citrus and malts present. Light to medium light body with a slightly watery mouthfeel. Well-balanced but almost too much so. Quite a boring simple beer.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a nice gold with a thin white head that lasts. Taste is of malt, caramel, hops, citrus and some pine. Similar aroma. Has a nice full body with a hoppy finish. Overall, a good beer.

Light smell of light hops, low carbonation, taste is light hops no malt, fruity citrus hops...not too over powering, improves a touch with time

Bottle 355 ml from Coppers 8 till 8, Newcastle. Courtesy of JFK10000. Golden with white head. Light to medium citrus aroma and flavor, sweetish malty, light bodied. Bland. Really unpleasant surprise.

Nothing to write home about. Average ale from local brewery. Not enough hops or malt to get ya excited.

Poured from a bottle. Yellow with a tiny white head. Very little aroma and even less taste. Disappointing beer by a good brewery. We’ll not drink it again.
