3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 j12601 (5609) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - JAN 15, 2012
Bottle. Pours a clear amber gold with a medium sized white head. Soft spicy hops on the nose, a touch of earthy breadiness. Sweeter than expected, but still nice. Thick sweet malt and grain backbone, nice body to it. Medium bodied, gets a touch grainy. Nice earthy hop notes. Gets a nice bitterness on the finish. Easy drinking, fairly sessionable.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 boxofrane (1184) - pottstown, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 14, 2012
Bottle. Pours clear copper with a finger of white head, minimal lacing, and light carbonation. Aroma is citrus hop with minor astringency. Taste is fairly bitter, not IPA bitter but certainly a hop presence. This is easy to drink but the palate is not thin like some pale ales. I’ve got to give this a solid score. I think this is a really good representation of the style with an ABV that makes it sessionable. For summer, heck yes.

Clear gold, foamy beige head. Aroma of orange, grass, grain, tropical sweetness. Taste has a mild bitterness with good citrus sweetness and some grain/grass again. Pretty easy to drink. I really enjoyed it considering I drank it after a few hours of fishing in 95 degrees and sweating my ass off.

A - Pours a bright clear golden-orange color with a finger of white frothy head. The head fades down to a ring around the glass lacing nicely in the process.
S - Aroma is a mix of sweet caramel malts and citrus and pine hops. Little bit of yeast hanging out in the background.
T - Starts off with citrus hop and bitterness and some light sweet caramel malts. Touch of grassy hops in the background. Through the middle, some stronger bitterness and yeast comes through. The finish is a mix of citrus hop and bitterness and some caramel malt sweetness that linger nicely.
M - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels super crisp and smooth. Finish is nice and dry and really pleasant.
D - Very drinkable. The flavors are all nice and powerful-enough and the beer is far from empty. The hop profile is pretty nice and the malt balances nicely.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Alexus (238) - Stavanger, NORWAY - JAN 26, 2012
Tap @ Cardinal. Pours a white head, golden-light amber in color. The aroma is very "standard" for an american pale ale. Citrusy and fresh in the aroma. Generally a smooth drinking pale ale, like most others. All in all a decent ale.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 keanex (786) - Atco, New Jersey, USA - MAY 31, 2012
Poured into a shaker glass from a 12 ounce bottle bottled on 4-26-2012.
A: Crystal clear amber/golden body with big carbonation bubbles and fine carbonation bubbles steadily rising to the thin and creamy off-white head.
S: A decent strength blend of citrus, floral hops, and a slightly earthy spicy character.
T: A bit tea-like up front with a mid-taste spice introduction of rye with a mild citrus and floral finish. Not very bitter, the rye shows through more than the hops. I am enjoying this.
M: Light bodied with mildly fizzy carbonation.
O: This is a solid rye pale ale, I think the rye adds a nice amount of spice to this and it works well.
