See me blow out your teapot. Iím from the Chinese era Qing. Big batch of bad-ass brew, I will make you sing. Women on the left of me, men on my right. Ainít got no corn, ainít got no rice. Iím just malty nice. Cause Iím TNT. Sometimes youíre not in the mood for what everyone else is having. -The Brewers at Left Hand -The Crew at the Tea Spot TNT Weizen Doppelbock with Lapsang Souchong Tea

Aroma of malt, wheat, banana, chocolate, smoked bacon, and some taste I canít identify so it must be the tea. Flavour is malty sweetness, quite sweet, with a smokey finish. Iím not terribly crazy about this, but it is definitely an interesting brew.

Pour is pitch black with a tan head. Smell is malty and coffee. Taste is sweet and malty with a little bitterness. Leaves a bitter aftertaste.

Rated on 12-31-2011 (Bottled on 02/16/11) This beer pours a small very fizzy tan head that is mostly diminishing, opaque dark brown body, fizzy, fast rising carbonation, and no lacing. The aroma is malt, chocolate and sweet. The flavor is sweet and in my face MALTY, MALT, MALTY, and MALTY. What the heck?? The mouthfeel is lively and this beer is light-medium bodied. I thoroughly enjoy malty tasting beer, but this is way too much! So much that it ended up being a drainpour. I donít know if this is a bad bottle or not, but bye, bye.

Smelled ok but the flavor was big BBQ. Weird! After multiple swallows the bbqness almost goes away.

weird aroma, full of bacon, lots of bacon! something else i cant quite catch, but very familiar.... weirdly sweet but with some even more weir sourness in int... gets creamier in the end as the body is getting bigger en the taste is getting sweeter, bacon remains though... verrry nice in my opinion but i had to get used to it somehow... very unique

4/07/2011: Left Hand TNT (Weizen Doppelbock with Lapsang Souchoug Tea)... Aroma: Beechwood smoked malt (not good); spicy banana and wheat. Appearance: Really dull and muddy color; dreadful dark brown-gold-GRAY liquid; foamy beige crown. Flavor: Smokey sweet banana and caramelized what; quite a bit of sweetness; way too smoky for the style; Belgian-like fruit and spice; sweetness and some apple notes come through after it breathes; a little of burned bandaids. Palate: Mediumg to medium-full body; smooth and mellow texture. Overall: I like smoke, but it really doesnít fint with this beer; I DON"T LIKE THIS BEER AT ALL; very strange brew; it somewhat reminds me of bean soup with smoked hamhocks! What a cluster-F! Too much stuff is going on and nothing is working well together. WHAT A WRECK OF A BEER!

1 pint 6 fl. oz. bottle from Dorothy Lane Market in Dayton, Ohio. Thanks ! Rating #134 for this beer.

Bottle shared at the ChrisO Flags of Many Nations Easter Tasting 2013 - London. Pours murky brown with a creamy tan head. Sugary malts and salted meat in the nose, along with notes of brown sugar. Big sweet flavor with tons of candied ham, some rich bread, toasted sugar. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet and lightly sticky finish with lots more candied ham, rich bread. Rich and very tasty. Not a well-loved style, I suppose, but this one does some nice stuff.
