COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
See me blow out your teapot. I’m from the Chinese era Qing. Big batch of bad-ass brew, I will make you sing. Women on the left of me, men on my right. Ain’t got no corn, ain’t got no rice. I’m just malty nice. Cause I’m TNT. Sometimes you’re not in the mood for what everyone else is having. -The Brewers at Left Hand -The Crew at the Tea Spot TNT Weizen Doppelbock with Lapsang Souchong Tea

Bottle. Very dark brown, almost black color. Small tanned head, leaves fairly quick. Aroma is full sweet malts, molasses and peat. Flavor starts of with a sweet malty flavor and turns into a light bitter, spiced flavor. Must be some influences of the tea used. Also, there is a lot of smokey presence in this beer. This is quite enjoyable on a cold autumn night.

Black pour with a thin foamy light tan head. Very strange aroma of pepperoni, black licorice, and some sort of herbal tea. The taste is kinda astringent with smokey sausage tones, black tea, molasses, lavender and smokey earth malts. Not working at all for me.

Almost black body with small and bubbly tan lace. Sweet malts, clear peat and dark wholewheat bread. Well made clean and active palate. Taste retains some of the smoke, has enough bitterness but quite a lot of spice. The tea? The smoke is a bit too rough for me, but well made brew for sure. (Bomber from De Bierwinkel Leiden)

Maybe I got a bad bottle. Poured at a good temperature with no head or lace. Color is a very dark, clear, brown red. Aroma is roast, smoke, tea, malt. Flavor’s like nose, carbonic tang is up front, followed by smokey sweet, and some tart, followed by some bitter in the finish. Body is ok, carbonation is a bit fizzy. Finish is like flavor, long in the smoke, and not that good. I’m dumping the rest.

The beer pours a dark brown color with an off-white head. The aroma has a lot of meaty smoke in it as well as some wheat notes. The flavor is also very meaty tasting, with some banana and clove notes mixed in. I also get some wheat, as well as some ash and charcoal. Full bodied with medium carbonation. Not bad, but I wish the smoke was turned down a bit and the weizenbock notes were more prevalent.

21 Jane 2012, bottle. Dark brown. Nose is charred wood and wet bread. Thin/med body and faintly fizzy. Breast, charred wood, slightly sour notes. Nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Deep, deep brown...Tall oatmeal head.. Scent is smoked ham, smoked bacon, smoked steak, smoked smoke.... Taste is rare spiced steak on the grille, charcoal...(gas is for sissies) meat, smoke, meat.. I don’t want to be redundant, but this is the most meaty beer I’ve had yet. I can hear vikings purring in Valhalla. The tea is there, but you really have to look for it..more in texture than taste... Fantastic beer....deserves much higher than current status.

On tap at the brewery, dark black pour with thin off white head, aroma has notes of lots of smoke, tea leaves, hints of caramel, bacon, toffee, some slight yeasty spice as well with a hint of fruit. Taste is a mix of smoke, tea leaves, some slight toffee, bacon/meaty notes, touch of roast, slight banana and fruits, finishing with a hint of spice and dry.
