COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Thanks for purchasing another offering in our series of "Big Mo" Beers. For as long as people have inhabited Colorado’s Front Range, the Twin Sisters have had a strong impact on Colorado residents. The views from atop the 11,428’ peaks are breathtaking and afford sweeping views of the entirety of Rocky Mountain National Park. As an expression of admiration we have crafted an ale that exhibits a profound impact all its own. At 11428 IBU’s (just kidding), Twin Sisters is a mountainous testament to hops, and that they bring. A feeling of ease and relaxation become apparent for all whom would dare to climb it. So for all that enjoy summiting ales with copious hops additions to achieve a felling of contentment and awe, we offer Twin Sisters Double IPA. Enjoy!

Low aroma/ fartspray. Clear light copper. Heady. Lace. Neutral malty double ipa. Ive had this before and remember loving it, yet this is pretty average. Sweet. Kind of feeling pissed I paid $10 for a bomber. Oh well, this may be near its time. I know this is better. Rated as is.

Dark orange-copper color with small white head. Floral, resinous, maybe honey, not so fruity aroma. Taste is a bit boozy, heavy body, slight bitterness. Feels almost like a wine. Low carbonation.

Bomber. Pine resiny hop aroma with notes of floral hops. Pours copper colored with a large soapy white head with good retention and lacing. Starts with good floral hop flavors as well as a bit of caramel malt. Finishes dry and very bitter with quite a bit of pine resiny hops. Good, but the sharp bitterness is a bit harsh.

Good piney and floral aroma. Nice clear copper color with a medium head. Medium weight and good carbonation. Well-rounded flavor with bitterness at the front but not overbearing. Mild sweetness.

Tap at New Bohemia. Smallish tulip glass. Nice copper color. Off white head. No real lacing. Aroma is a little metallic and slightly alcoholic. Taste has bready and caramel malts running throughout. Not much for floral or hop notes. I’m kind of missing those elements. Leaves a mild bitterness for its finish. Decent but there are plenty of better double IPAs on the market.

Look - Clear orange. Ivory bubbly head. It is thick. Globular lacing. Smell - Very malty. Bread. Caramel. Lemon. Piny Taste - Malt and alcohol up front. Citrus in the middle. Malt and alcohol finish. Pine aftertaste. Feel - Little carbonation. Chewy. Smooth. I like it! Overall - Had to pick up this Left Hand. Warrior and Homefront are good IPAs as well. Malty, as advertised.

This is a hoppy beer, but wouldn’t quite call it a hop bomb. I’ve had hoppier imperial or double IPAs than this. But, I am more of a malthead, so the balance worked well for me. Also smoother than most IPAs/doubles. A good one to split with a friend.
