3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Dark brown in color with slight reddish tinge. Almost no head. Cocoa and alcohol in aroma. Sweet, malty, roasty flavor. Not as strong as others in this style. Bitterness in aftertaste. Missing something.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pretty much opaque dark brown. Roasty malt and chocolate flavor with a nice bitter coffee finish. I thoght everything was really well balanced in this one.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Clear dark brown with almost no head. Sweet malt and hop aromas. Flavors were sweet malt and hop, with a little coffee and chocolate, some roastiness. Reminds me of a scotch ale with all the sweet malts. Thick and smooth, oily mouthfeel, then a slightly bitter finish. They sure didnít scrimp on the alcohol. A little odd for an imperial stout, but good.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Kinda light for an Imperial stout. Dark brown/red pour topped w/ a tan head. Lots of sweetness in the nose. Notes of cola, chocolate, and a little bit of roasted malt. Soft íní smooth palate. Plump chocolate flavors accented by roasted malt, coffee, and tangy hops. Long oily finish. A good beer overall, but not quite as roasty, hoppy, or dark as I expected.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12.29.04 12oz bottle, Christmas present. Dark cola pour; little webby head was work to induce. Rummy and mince aromas, dark plum, black cherry. More cherry in flavor and very boozy but light. Some chocolate covered black cherry with liquor. Reminds alot of Old Rasputin in aroma and flavor, but much lighter and not as refined or smooth. Thin on finish with a backdraft of chocolate, coffee, and some more alcohol. In a way, it reminds of a doppelbock, too. Not a great imperial stout, but a very good beer.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Super cheesy D&D fan label. Pours a little light for the style, with no head. Winey aroma with chocolate, some burntness, maybe a little vanilla and a hint of licorice. The commercial description does not lie, it is silky smooth with a great lingering hop and roast flavor. Miderate bitterness and a slightly sweet finish. Good.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Color: blackish brown with a thin tan head. No lacing. Looks like a warm glass of cola. Nose: burnt brown sugar, molasses, rasions and green olives. Taste: Moxie soda, port wine, molasses and green olives. The aftertaste is slsightly fishy (sardines?) and the alcohol is noticable. This brew lacks the flavors Iíve come to expect from an Imperial and Iím not sure if I like it.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours large head, dark brown appearance. Aromatic nose , well prepared malts base . Sadly this is slightly pale image of its potential. Flavour: big, dark roast, some light sweetness. Right proportions sure but to thing and lightly spread for such strong beer.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma is malty, with some hops, and mild chocolate. Hazy brown, not much head. Mildly coffee flavoured, rather light bodied for the style. Very good!

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a very dark brown, small offwhite head. Aroma is of woody roasted malt, choclate, and almonds.
Flavor is similar, with coffee, and a roasted "woody" body to it. Palate is very smooth. Very nice brew. Thanks to BBB63 for this one!
