4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours black with a full, tan head. Aromas of raisin, chocolate and licorice. Thick, tarry texture with chocolate roasted notes that disguise the high ABV. Finishes with a distinct toffee flavor that is thoroughly enjoyable

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
The Wake Up Dead Imperial Stout pours jet black with a thick foamy tan brown head that lasts the duration of the beer. The aroma is raisin, black licorice and chocolate. The flavor is dark chocolate and coffee up front followed by raisin and black licorice. Overall this is a delightful brew and I find the nitro quite favorable.

12oz bottle pours dark chestnut brown black with some faint light edges and 1 finger head. Nose is roasty bitter dark fruits, baker’s chocolate, raisin. Taste is a little thinner than expected but still decent creaminess, some nice light roasty dark chocolate, coffee bean, dark fruits. Finish is bitter fruity chocolate, burnt coffee, cocoa, touch of sticky sweetness.

Pours a nice rich black color with a foamy brown head. Smells sweet like candy. Taste is fairly rich with some coffee notes hidden in there. Decent beer.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Bomber with the ’best by’ date digitized (barely visible, with good light and a microscope) printed on the bottle neck. This bad boy bomber can cellar for 7 years. Pours nearly pitch black, with a beige, tightly packed, very small bubble, creamy head that takes a hard pour to liven up. The taste is bold and dark, but not palate wrecking. Roasted malt with chocolate and cherry take the stage. It lacks a balanced hop presence, but the floral hop aroma and taste are present. It dominates in roasted coffee with dark chocolate and cherry. It has a full mouth feel, and the 10.2% abv will warm you up nicely as it goes down. Meant to be a breakfast beer, it will definitely slow down your morning! It is a very good brew! It goes down easy for such a huge brew. I think it is an A-rated brew, and I am very happy I finally found the Wake Up Dead. As my 11th Left Hand variety, I think it is one of the best Left Hand brews available, lagging behind the Warrior in flavor though. I would happily share with a seasoned brew drinker.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Raisins, rum and dark berries in the nose, following through into the taste profile. Some chocolate with balancing hints of cherries, hops and malt make this a very satisfying and well crafted imperial stout, even if the body is slightly lighter than most others of the ilk.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pretty smooth. Not too sweet. Doest taste too boozy. Mostly malty with slight cocoa flavor. Enjoyable but wouldn't drink too much.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12fl oz bottle. Pours a super dark brown with a one finger, cream coloured, creamy head. Aroma has notes of roasted malts, dark fruits, and chocolate. Taste is sweet with lots of dark fruit, roasty malts, and bitter/sweet chocolate milk with a dry finish. Medium-full body with a medium carbonation. Smooth, creamy texture in the mouth with a very slight alcohol warmth/taste. Very nice in the mouth. Overall a pretty nice brew. Amazing how they can get such a smooth, creamy beer in a bottle. Roasted malts and dark fruits.

Dark pour with a thick creamy head. Light aroma. Very uniwue taste. It may just be subliminal but I do taste thd licorice and raisins described on the bottle. Different and not but not sure I’m a fan. Would give another try to see ic it grows on me.

Poured from bottle to snifter. Dark black hue with creamy tan head. Aroma is chocolate, caramel, plums, raisins, ethanol. Mouthfeel is nice with a medium body and good carbonation. Taste is sweet throughout with an astringent bitter following. Overall this is a good brew but a bit light body.
