Brewed only once a year with fresh hops hand-picked in Longmont, CO and Warrior hops straight off the vine from Yakima, WA.
Warrior is brewed using a unique style called “Wet Hopping,” which requires only hops that are no more than a day from the vine. “Wet Hopping” imparts only a mild aroma, but an exceptionally fresh unfiltered hop flavor.

Draught pint at Sunset Grill on 11/17/07
Bright peach-golden body is full of carbonation, leading to a two-finger white head that is well-retained and laces quite well.
Attractive fruity nose showcases cherries and nectarines up front which quickly evolve in to a more profoundly bitter tangerine-grapefruit sharpness. Pale and caramel malts impart an appropriate backbone of sweetness, with a touch of sweaty/catty wet-hop notes on the finish and some lingering toastiness from the medium malts. Alcohol is well-concealed and I detect no flaws. Pine emerges, drying things (maybe a touch too much) on the finish, with breathing/warming. Medium to medium-high strength of aroma.
The flavor is where this one really shines, with a fantastic array of vibrant fruits, deep ruby red grapefruit sweetness and crisp, lemony-orange bitterness that helps curtail the sweet malts. Carbonation is rich and soothing, imparting an almost creamy, tight texture and further helping to disperse any unwanted malt sweetness. Some sweet/sour toastiness develops from the malts and there is some, rather inevitable, cattiness from the hops, but other than that, this is really well done and not overdone in bitterness at all. Quite complex hop flavors (grapefruit, pine, floral notes, nectarine, lemon, orange). Alcohol well concealed in flavor, no flaws noted.

Draught. Deep copper pour with a medium creamy white head. Aroma of earthy hops, sweet malt and faint alcohol. Medium body, great lacing with a great hoppy yet smooth finish.

Mostly clear, copper amber color with a medium light beige head. Floral, fresh hop aroma. Nice bitter, but balanced, smooth flavor. Will look for this one every year.

Best by 01/13/2016. This was poured into a nonic pint glass. The appearance was a burnt amber color with a light transparency about it. A one finger white to off white foamy head started and dissipated within less than about a minute and a half. Lacing was fairly thick. The smell had bitter and sweet pine. Bitter citrus starts to come out every so slyly as it warms. The taste was mainly bitter pine with a light underscore bitter citrus. Sweetness trying to move in subtly. Dry piney aftertaste leads to a dry finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium in body. Sessionable sticky resinous pine clings to my tongue in a slight harsh way. Carbonation felt fine as an AIPA. Overall, this was a pretty good AIPA that I could have again.

3/7/2008 2:44:55 PM Bottle from Bier Koning. Dark orange colour, fuzzy head. Hoppy and citrus nose. Very spicy and hoppy taste. Quite bitter. Some caramel in the taste. Really nice but almost too much bitterness that won’t go away.

This had some age but the piney hop aroma was still good. Average weight with a drop down in the carbonation. Color was a metallic gold. Strong harshness that was evenly balanced by caramel malts.

Bottle thanks to stephrocks shared at Anchorage Apr ’15 Tasting: Poured copper with a white head. Light aroma of hops and malt. Taste is more malty than hoppy, this might have been past it prime.

Bomber from CBB. Clear amber with very little head. Resin and citrus hop aroma. Flavour starts all pine and resin, then gives way to a nice fresh citrus finish.
