Brewed only once a year with fresh hops hand-picked in Longmont, CO and Warrior hops straight off the vine from Yakima, WA.
Warrior is brewed using a unique style called “Wet Hopping,” which requires only hops that are no more than a day from the vine. “Wet Hopping” imparts only a mild aroma, but an exceptionally fresh unfiltered hop flavor.

Draught pint at Sunset Grill on 11/17/07
Bright peach-golden body is full of carbonation, leading to a two-finger white head that is well-retained and laces quite well.
Attractive fruity nose showcases cherries and nectarines up front which quickly evolve in to a more profoundly bitter tangerine-grapefruit sharpness. Pale and caramel malts impart an appropriate backbone of sweetness, with a touch of sweaty/catty wet-hop notes on the finish and some lingering toastiness from the medium malts. Alcohol is well-concealed and I detect no flaws. Pine emerges, drying things (maybe a touch too much) on the finish, with breathing/warming. Medium to medium-high strength of aroma.
The flavor is where this one really shines, with a fantastic array of vibrant fruits, deep ruby red grapefruit sweetness and crisp, lemony-orange bitterness that helps curtail the sweet malts. Carbonation is rich and soothing, imparting an almost creamy, tight texture and further helping to disperse any unwanted malt sweetness. Some sweet/sour toastiness develops from the malts and there is some, rather inevitable, cattiness from the hops, but other than that, this is really well done and not overdone in bitterness at all. Quite complex hop flavors (grapefruit, pine, floral notes, nectarine, lemon, orange). Alcohol well concealed in flavor, no flaws noted.

Pours a deep ruby red color, with an off white head that dissipates over time to a nice ring around the tulip glass. Aroma is bright citrus flavors, with grass pine notes as well. A sweet malt backbone is present. Taste is similar to the nose, with tons of citrus and resiny pine. I’ll be buying another one. Medium body, dry finish. I’ll be buying another!

Pours a rich copper color with a off white head. Caramel malt aroma with citrus and pine. Sweet caramel malt start with some toffee ,fruitiness, and grass. Finishing with a fresh resiny pine. Not very bitter and no lingering bitterness. Possibly the best wet hopped beer I’ve had. The pine flavor in this one is really nice.

Bomber. Sweet caramel malt aroma with light hoppy notes. Pours amber colored with about one finger of white head with good retention and lacing. Taste starts with sweet caramel malt with a very light bodied mouthfeel. Finishes smooth and just a touch dry with slight piney hop notes. Good, refreshing ipa.

bottle @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Appealing clear medium amber, bubbly rim head, no lace. Taste is caramel malt that becomes rich toffee in the palate before adding assertive, but not overpowering, hops in a medium length finish that also sees a strong dose of effervescence. Good to drink, but hardly enough hops to qualify as an IPA.

Bottle at first DC tasting of 2010. Orange with a white head that settles quickly and leaves little lacing. Aroma of gun metal, grass and licorice. Strange combo. Bitter and dry hoppy flavor throughout. Mediocre.

Hazy brown body, tan head. Faint aroma, mostly hops and some citrus. Soft mouthfeel, carbonation is not very strong. Soft taste with some bitterness. Quite an easy IPA. Not that interesting but alright nevertheless.
