COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Lefty’s Brewing Company delivers the most ingenious Breakfast Stout ever! This stout contains a quintet of delicious ingredients, woven together for a melody of flavors to amuse the taste buds. The Blind Pig of Athol, MA perfectly cooks the smoked bacon from the local pasture raised pigs of Little Brook Farm of Sunderland. The locally roasted coffee is sourced through Esselon Coffee Roasters of Hadley. We also use high quality local maple syrup from Mount Massaemet Sugarhouse in Shelburne Falls to add that essential touch to any traditional New England breakfast. Finally, flaked oats provide additional creaminess and cocoa nibs add a natural, chocolaty sweetness. Lefty has created a smooth and well blended stout that lures you in from first sniff to last sip. We are sure this one of a kind Breakfast Stout will make your winter more satisfying!

UPDATED: APR 5, 2014 Absolutely delicious. The aroma is big and smoky with subtle hints of coffee and bacon fat. The flavor is similar with added notes of maple. Very smooth and creamy, drinks like a porter.

22oz bottle. Pours black with a thick creamy tan head. Another great looking brew from Lefty’s but like all the other Lefty’s I have tasted it comes off lacking in flavor and on the thin side. Hard to believe that such a great looking brew with such great ingredients can be so average.

Infected again. If you buy a Leftys beer drink it right away because there is something brewing in these bottles that if you dont drink them right away it takes off and leaves a sour trash flavor on the back end. Leftys meet drain.

Bottle at the Beer Shop, East Longmeadow, MA during a meet the brewer event, 19/05/13. Very dark mahogony brown with a thin tan head. Nose is roast malt, chocolate, light smoke, touch of coffee. Taste comprises brown sugars, dark toffee, light chocolate, molasses, smoked ham notes in the finish. Medium bodied with fine carbonation, light smoke in the finish. Ok but as with other Lefty’s beers I sampled at this tasting - lacks depth and character for an 8%+ Impy !

Another lefty’s shared by Leighton in the lobby, RBWG. Fun to see Hadley in mentioned in the description of this beer-- a place I used to call home! But that’s where the fun ends. Kind of a less potent imperial stout, slightly akin to its neighbor at BBC. Fine, but nothing close to elite in crowded style.

22oz bottle in a snifter. Pours very dark brown with a lacy, light tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee and chocolate, hints of maple and bacon, plus light dough and light hops. Flavor the same, with nothing standing out. Average texture. Not bad, but could be better.

Bottle at RBWG hotel lobby session. Pours black-brown with a thick creamy beige head. Light tangy dark malt nose, some earth. Medium sweet flavor, some cocoa, bit of earth. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Some sugary dark malts to finish, light burnt malts. Very simple.
