3.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Damico (1405) - Royersford, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 14, 2010
It pours deep amber in color with a great bubbly head on top. The aroma is light, a bit of syrupy sweetness from the honey and a bit yeasty. The body comes in very carbonated, it tastes like a lightly sweet soda almost after the carbonation settles.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 obguthr (2583) - Poquoson, Virginia, USA - APR 11, 2010
Tea nose with very pronounced menthol overtones. Clear tea colored, no head. Rose petal, menthol, clove, tea, honey, and violet flavor, very potpourri-ish. Clove and menthol lingers for a while. Very strange beer. The menthol is weird, but I can see myself getting used to it. I didn’t get too tired of it after one bomber, but it’s the kind of beer you don’t want to overdo. Original.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 SpringsLicker (2547) - Tennessee, USA - MAR 24, 2010
Medium to dark brown, slightly hazy body with an off-white head that laces nicely.
Light malt aroma.
Lightly bitter with a chalky finish.
Lacks the body and maltiness of a Dubbel.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 SuIIy (1878) - Natick, Massachusetts, USA - JAN 1, 2010
Bomber. Pours a murky brown color with a huge beige head. Nose is dirty malt notes with some caramel and sugar. Palate is very full and fuzzy, almost overly carbonated. Flavors of sweet malt notes and some honey,
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 nearbeer (2659) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - JAN 1, 2010
22 oz. Clear copper with a small, fleeting head. Nose is orange marmalade, molasses and nutmeg. Taste is all the same blend with some caramel and a slightly tart citrus touch throughout. The earthy spice lingers in the almost-woody finish and has hints of bubblegum, cinnamon, coriander, chocolate and ginger. Light-medium body is thin, fairly smooth, and finishes spicy-dry. Not bad, but tastes more like a British Christmas Ale (which I like) with just a hint of Belgian yeast.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Drake (5231) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - SEP 4, 2009
22 ounce bottle. Pours a reddish brown color with a thin head. Poor head retention and poor lacing. Aroma of raisin, caramel and toasted malts, Taste is raisin, brown sugar, tea and light spice. Thin bodied and slightly watery. Not very much like a dubbel and though drinkable, not really a very good beer. Disappointing.

Draft pours medium amber with a fruity aroma with some caramel. Tart fruits and overly cloying body. Slight bitterness at the end. Not bad, but seemed to be all over the place.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 sloth (2105) - Ceciltucky, Co., Maryland, USA - MAR 17, 2009
Bomber. Pours a small white head with fair retention and spotty lace. Clear amber color with a nice red glow. Nose is faint malts, grainy with a slight spiceyness going on. Body is medium thin with a soft carbonation. Medium sweet malt flavors, little caramel, some earthy notes, bit of dark fruitiness, starnge spicey notes, doughy. An almost dry fruity finish thats short lived. Meh. Procured @statelineliquors.
