Pours clear, dark amber with a half inch head of off white. Retention is short and only a few whisps remain on the surface along with some errant lacework. Plenty of caramel, figs, and raisins lead off the nose. Hints of honey, peppercorns, grape jam, and cherries follow through. Quite fruity and lightly spicy. Medium bodied and a bit creamy. Smooth mouthfeel with a crisp edge. Juicy malt, ripe dark fruits, caramel, and jam lead start the palate. A rounded honey note pulls through along with a cedar-like earthiness. Finishes with some faint warming alcohol, lingering caramel, peppery shadows, and an earthy bitterness. A very good Dubble! A bit small and clean for my taste, and some cocoa overtones would be nice, but thereís a decent complexity here if you let the brew warm up.

It pours deep amber in color with a great bubbly head on top. The aroma is light, a bit of syrupy sweetness from the honey and a bit yeasty. The body comes in very carbonated, it tastes like a lightly sweet soda almost after the carbonation settles.

Tea nose with very pronounced menthol overtones. Clear tea colored, no head. Rose petal, menthol, clove, tea, honey, and violet flavor, very potpourri-ish. Clove and menthol lingers for a while. Very strange beer. The menthol is weird, but I can see myself getting used to it. I didnít get too tired of it after one bomber, but itís the kind of beer you donít want to overdo. Original.

SpringsLicker (3127) - Tennessee, USA - MAR 24, 2010
Medium to dark brown, slightly hazy body with an off-white head that laces nicely. Light malt aroma. Lightly bitter with a chalky finish. Lacks the body and maltiness of a Dubbel.

Bomber. Pours a murky brown color with a huge beige head. Nose is dirty malt notes with some caramel and sugar. Palate is very full and fuzzy, almost overly carbonated. Flavors of sweet malt notes and some honey,

22 oz. Clear copper with a small, fleeting head. Nose is orange marmalade, molasses and nutmeg. Taste is all the same blend with some caramel and a slightly tart citrus touch throughout. The earthy spice lingers in the almost-woody finish and has hints of bubblegum, cinnamon, coriander, chocolate and ginger. Light-medium body is thin, fairly smooth, and finishes spicy-dry. Not bad, but tastes more like a British Christmas Ale (which I like) with just a hint of Belgian yeast.

Bomber shared with the Dev Knights- poured an Amber red with small head, not much lacing. Light spice, malts, caramel and some bread. Bit of a dry finish. Average.

22 ounce bottle. Pours a reddish brown color with a thin head. Poor head retention and poor lacing. Aroma of raisin, caramel and toasted malts, Taste is raisin, brown sugar, tea and light spice. Thin bodied and slightly watery. Not very much like a dubbel and though drinkable, not really a very good beer. Disappointing.

Draft pours medium amber with a fruity aroma with some caramel. Tart fruits and overly cloying body. Slight bitterness at the end. Not bad, but seemed to be all over the place.

Bomber. Pours a small white head with fair retention and spotty lace. Clear amber color with a nice red glow. Nose is faint malts, grainy with a slight spiceyness going on. Body is medium thin with a soft carbonation. Medium sweet malt flavors, little caramel, some earthy notes, bit of dark fruitiness, starnge spicey notes, doughy. An almost dry fruity finish thats short lived. Meh. Procured @statelineliquors.
