SETANTA (556), Allentown, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 13, 2005 very bracing hops, but seemed a little too much to balance with the malt profile. use of european malts wasn’t evident, but seemed of quality nonetheless
jmm635 (80), Wynnewood, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 11, 2008 Poured deep clear amber color, nearly brown, with a small off-white head. Aroma is well balanced between malts and hops with a definite aroma and flavors of caramel malts and floral hops. Medium-bodied and very drinkable. guzzler67 (1153), Hanover, Maryland, USA Oct 3, 2008 Deep red, almost brown, appearance with a large, tan head and good lacing. Aroma needed some coaxing before the caramel malts and subdued hops came around. Taste is caramel malt, soft fruit and flowery hops. Medium bodied with a fairly dry, medium length finish. Reminiscent of a potent amber ale. jredmond (621), New Jersey, USA Sep 30, 2008 Brewfest NY 08. Man i wish i was able to write down notes at the fest, but it was pouring rain and I had an umbrella in one hand, and my drinking glass in the other. I remember this being good though. Obviously need to try it again. Pwn3d (619), NYC, New York, USA Sep 24, 2008 Sampled at the NY Brewfest on 9/12. Not able to give a very accurate rating due to the sheer number of brews sampled. One of the better brews of the night. They have caught my attention as a brewery between this and midnight wit. gsmitty80 (534), Washington DC, USA Sep 11, 2008 This beer had a nice floral aroma that lent well to the floral taste of the hops. Not too overpowering and with very little aftertaste, this red packs alot of flavor into you sip and does not disappoint. It was billed to me as an IPA so i was expecting a harsher hop finish but I was pleasantly surprised.
