Aroma is surprisingly clean and hoppy. Apearance is dark and unimpressive with a thick beige head. Flavor is very mellow with a creamy bitterness which is underscored with a bit of hops. Palate is slightly more crisp than other oatmeals that I’ve had. Good beer, would drink again.

22 oz. bomber bottle. Pours opaque dark brown, with a sizable frothy brown head that dissipates pretty quickly to nothing. Aroma of roasted malt, ground coffee, and a bit of brine. Dry, roasty flavor, with expresso notes, some light holiday spice and a fairly assertive piney hop presence. Nice dry finish. Medium bodied, without much of that chunky oat mouthfeel, but still reasonably smooth. Solid if somewhat unspectacular stout.

From the tap poured black with a small head. Nice malty flavor with a quick finish.

very nice and fresh aroma right from the 22 oz bottle! wonderfully light brown powerful and billowy head that almost became a pain in the ass! nice roasted flavors, slightly acid, bitter chocolate and slick in palate with yet a nice and refreshing nature. extra points for being quite affordable. good light pure sugar sweetness. tiniest leather and tobacco hints. impressive in every facet.

Tap at Barcade. Decent head on the pour, mostly black. Flavor has a viscious, crisp bite that makes the beer really hard to put down. Lactic nose seems a bit off. This really misses the style by a rather large margin. Could not finish my pint.
