Ungstrup (11378), Frederiksberg, Denmark Feb 26, 2006 A hazy amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma is sweet with primary notes of straw, but also notes of malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel. The mouthfeel is very soft. omhper (10728), Stockholm, Sweden Oct 15, 2003 Bottled. Amber colour. Fruity and yeasty. Sweet and sugary with empty mouthfeel. A simplistic and industrial, yet welcome, break from the Spanish beer desert. Too bad it's not much better than semi-desert. Papsoe (10459), Frederiksberg, Denmark Feb 17, 2006 (Bottle 33 cl) Beautiful, clear amber with a bubbly but dissipating, off-white head. Complex, malty, lightly fruity nose. Good, full body with plenty roasted malt and some caramel. Lightly vinous and sherryish with a dry finish. But I never would have guessed it to be a Belgian style ale. 160206 yespr (6889), Copenhagen O, Denmark Oct 26, 2007 33 cL bottle. Pours golden orange to amber, clear, with an off-white head. Sweet malty and slight fruity aroma. Flavour is medium dry malty with a slight herbalness in the finish. Ends rather dry with a minimal metallic note. Belgian? no way. oh6gdx (6339), Vaasa, Finland Mar 7, 2007 Bottled. Amber colour, mediumsized foamy head. Aroma is caramel, slight alcohol and lots of grass. Flavour is lots of grass, caramel malts, hops and some alcohol. Finish is harshly bitter.
