3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 llcooldave (722) - San Antonio, Texas, USA - FEB 5, 2011
Brown in the glass with a slight touch of copper in the glass. Somewhat of a slight macro-lager aroma with some alcohol and herbal notes. Also a touch of caramel begins to appear as it warms in the glass. Very carbonated on the palate. Dry malty flavor followed by a nutty herbal aftertaste. Overall, it’s drinkable but not too exciting.

22 oz it has some overly hoppy tones that makes it much more interesting than a simple plain brown ale. It has a simple sweet yet butter bitter style that is very appealing. Good amber brown colour, little aroma present, very fresh, but good overall.

Draft at Mahi Mahi’s in Virginia Beach Pours a clear dark amber with a thin off white head which deminishes quickly. Has spotty lacing at best. The aroma is decent with caramel, nuts, some citrus, and faint hops. Has a good carbonation. The flavor is good. Nice fullness and a good malt backbone with a decent amount of hops to make it well balanced. It has a light to medium body. the texture is thick. You kind of eat this beer instead of drinking it. Has good finish and a light aftertaste. Overall a fairly good beer.

Off-puttingly bitter, with unbalanced hops, little or no malt character, and a very thin-bodied, underwhelming character to boot. Second poor product in a row for Legend alas

Bottle. Poured red-brown with a tan head that settles to a ring. Caramel aroma. The flavor found toasted malt and nut. Medium body and a nutty aftertaste.

Bottle pour, amber brown in color with light foam head. Sweet and mild with corn and caramel notes. Not a complicated beer obviously but a regular drinker.

I thought this was a very nice brown ale. There wasnt too much malt and no nutty taste, just a smooth crisp brown ale.

12oz bottle via trade thanks to billab914 on BA. Pours clear amber-brown in color with a one-finger white head that leaves some foam on the beer. The aroma is very chocolatey with caramel and some plum and fig notes. Pretty nice. Fairly sweet flavor with lots of caramel malt and a little chocolate. The fruits come out on the flavor as well, with a slight hint of molasses. Medium body with average carbonation and a pretty standard mouthfeel. A good brown ale overall. Not amazing, but good enough.
