COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Legend Golden ale is an IPA that is deep golden in color and not hopped as heavily as some other interpretations. This Legend cult classic has a full body and is very high in alcohol, at over 7% by volume. It is hopped with Mt. Hood for balance.

Lightly hoppy with a slight bitterness of floral hops, but a butter like finish. The alcohol content is well hidden.

Decent beer, but I don’t think of this as an IPA. Definitely has some hop character plus lots of malt. It is Golden!

A sweet malted IPA with an almost skunky near finish to it. It’s a nice little IPA but nothing special. It’s this sweet/sour combo that I can’t quite put my finger on that isn’t unpleasant but isn’t enjoyable either. Rarely do I not form an opinion from a beer, but I’m wondering if this one had an issue which made it funky.

Bomber. Pours a clear deep golden copper with thin head. Aroma is toast, biscuit, cereal, cracker and light caramel then herbal grassy hops. Flavor is more toast, grass, slight dms, corn, burnt toffee, herbal hops, some spicy phenols, and light citrus or lemon tone. Finish is a bit too sweet, not quite dry enough.

Tap. Pours clear orange with an average, fizzy white head, low retention with light lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (bread, caramel, toasted), heavy hops (earthy, herbal, spicy), and light esters (apple/pear) with notes of peach. Flavor is heavy malt (bread, cookie, caramel, toasted), heavy hops (earthy, herbal, grassy, pine), and average esters (apple/pear) with notes of peach. Medium body and carbonation, low warmth and creaminess with a dry and biting finish.

12 oz – Light hazed gold, creamy white head. Buttery dried citrus and earth-like aromas ride a soft swirl of toffee malt throughout. Light sweet buttered apricot and earthy citric peel bitterness are well rounded by the underlying caramel malt backbone. Medium bodied, medium carbonation, buttery citric hop finish. Not horrific if you dig butter, but far from my thing…

12oz. golden IPA. pours gold and clear with small head. aroma has some interesting grass and alcohol notes. mouthful has some more funky grass... very odd ale, but hardly an IPA?

22oz. bottle. Golden pour with nice head. A little light hops on nose. Not much of an IPA, tastes like a blonde/IPA mix to me with very little bitterness/hop flavor. Average at best.
