COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Legend Golden ale is an IPA that is deep golden in color and not hopped as heavily as some other interpretations. This Legend cult classic has a full body and is very high in alcohol, at over 7% by volume. It is hopped with Mt. Hood for balance.

bottle-pours orange with a small soapy white head with some lite carbonation cascading through the glass. nose is terrible-diacytl, alcohol and lite earthy hops. lots of sweet malts. flavors dont show the diacytl as much but the flavors are very mushy malts and lots of sweetness. some nuttyness/earthy notes come through in the finish. very off flavors for an ipa. this brewery needs alot of help i figured that years later, there would be better things coming from this place.

Double or triple the hops added to this one and then you’d have something I would be interested in.

Another golden color beer from legends with a decent head. Very citrus in smell with a very light hop bite. Not too bad and drinkable for an IPA but for an IPA lover it will disappoint.

22oz. bottle. Golden pour with nice head. A little light hops on nose. Not much of an IPA, tastes like a blonde/IPA mix to me with very little bitterness/hop flavor. Average at best.

Draft at brewpub. Pours light orange. Thinnest looking IPA I’ve seen so far. Not much on the nose. Taste is kind of thin. You have to really look for the hop. It’s just boring.

Draught from a shaker. Light golden color...very tepid beer. Aroma is generic sweetness, and the taste is a very bland. A bit of sweet malts, pretty much nonexistant hop presence, and very mild carbonation. Also has some metallic notes. Overall seems like an unfinished beer...I would pass on this one.

22oz Bomber. This pours out an extremely clear golden yellow color with a nice sized white head of foam. Head retention is decent and it leaves a nice lace about the glass. The nose is fairly mild with a grassy hop aroma being the main ingredient and a slight caramel malt starts to come through as it warms. A very yeasty and grainy taste to this, very similar to many macros. Not much else going on with the taste other than a foul after taste that does stick around for a while. Mouthfeel is fine and drinkability is defiantly put off by the taste. Not recommended.

Golden-yellow body, with a big off-white head. Smell is not so good, more mealy than it is hoppy. Taste is equally as bad, no crisp punch of hops just doughy malt and a slight amount of hop spice. Really kind of disappointing. No aftertaste at all.

pale yellow-gold. minimal white head that doesn’t last. medium-body, low-carbonation. smells grassy. tasted salty, finish bitter. dried out my mouth. not a fan.

Appearance: Pours a golden body with a foamy, creamy white head. Smell: Oh dear, here we go again... an aroma of butter and soiled socks. Taste: The flavor passes back and forth between greasy butter and abandoned cheese. Sure, there’s hops. Yes, there’s light caramel malts. It just not worth putting up with all that unpleasantness to get to it. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Slight stickiness to the mouthfeel. Drinkability: Another utter failure from this brewery. I have yet to come across a bottle from Legend that wasn’t a totally spoiled disaster!
