2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 rangerred (204) - Johnson City, Tennessee, USA - FEB 2, 2012
12oz bottle poured into a pint glass.
Appearance is a crystal clear light gold with a fairly thick one finger head. Pretty good head retention and lacing.
Not much of a smell with this one. Caramel malt is definitely present along with a slight citrus hop character reminiscent of apricot and orange.
The flavors are all a bit odd. Fairly strong caramel malt up front along with some citrusy hop notes but then everything just disappears. All that is left is a sharp bitterness finishing with a strong alcohol note but no other flavors. Mouthfeel is decent, though.
Overall I think this could be a pretty good beer with some tweaking. It is just too unbalanced now to be a pleasurable drinking experience.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 chriso (7062) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 11, 2012
Cask (gravity dispense) at Great British Beer Festival, day 4 on 5 August 2011 as Legend Golden IPA. Flowery aroma with lots of hop presence. Quite dry on the palate. Whilst the nose is appealing, it doesn’t quite carry through as impressively onto the palate. Fairly bitter, maybe a little astringent on the palate but lacks the vibrancy of the aroma. Firm, clean mouthfeel. Good but doesn’t quite hit the high spots.
2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 nevets4433 (302) - - JAN 11, 2012
Draught from a shaker. Light golden color...very tepid beer. Aroma is generic sweetness, and the taste is a very bland. A bit of sweet malts, pretty much nonexistant hop presence, and very mild carbonation. Also has some metallic notes. Overall seems like an unfinished beer...I would pass on this one.

It poured a golden color with a small white head. The aroma was of sweet popcorn and caramel malts. The taste was buttery, caramel, and toffee, with some lingering bitterness. An ok IPA.
2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 freekyp (1280) - Thomasville, North Carolina, USA - DEC 31, 2011
Pours a pure golden with swaths of white sticky lacing. Aroma is fruit forward displaying grapefruit, orange, and some light berry. A nice biscuity backbone holds this brew together. It ends with a mild earthy hop finish, and a light malt sweetness that lingers on the tongue.

this beer has a hint of the IPA style but it’s not as strong as the others. I really think that its a good beer.

5th August 2011 GBBF. Cask. Slightly hazy gold beer. Smooth low carbonation palate. Sweetish malt base with pale malt dominating and a little caramel. Good orangey hops, touch of mango. Moderate bitterness. Trace of aniseed. Finishes smooth. Not bad!
