COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Hefeweizen is 45% malted wheat, and 55% barley malt. Much of the character of this beer comes from its unique yeast, which is not filtered out, so it tends to leave the beer cloudy. The wheat portion of this ale creates a light, crisp, dry brew perfect for drinking on a hot day. The beer is lightly hopped with Saaz, but the aroma and most of the flavor of this beer come from the wheat beer yeast. Beer Geek Stuff: Original gravity: 11.8„a Plato, final gravity 2.0„a P Lightly hopped with Mt. Hood and Saaz. Hazy white-yellow colored served unfiltered and cloudy. Brewed with 55% Vienna malt and 45% wheat malt. Fermented with authentic German wheat beer ale yeast.

Reviewed from notes. Poured into a weizen glass. Color is a really cloudy yellow color with a nice white head. The nose rally brings out a lot of classic hefeweizen character with some nice banana, clove, and bubblegum. The taste isn’t quite as yeast-forward and has a bit of wheat. Nice creamy light body on a beer that drinks quite well. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 11-14-2010

Bottle thanks to Dan. Poured a hazy pale orange with a large white head that lasted throughout the beer. Aroma has a sweet wheat note with a strong backing orange peel note. Flavor was a bit more thin with sweet wheat in the beginning with a hint of citrus and flora coming out in the finish.

Flavor and Palate : Light bodied , clean refreshing palate. Slight banana in flavor as well. Slight bitterness at edges. Nice proper German Hefe.

Cloudy, bright yellow. Banana, clove, and vanilla aroma. Pleasureable all the way around. Sizeable, pure white head. Delicious spritzy wheat flavor. Palate is light and airy, but the body develops later. Pure refreshment. More invigorating than herbal essences.

22 oz. bottle purchased at Farm Fresh in Williamsburg, VA. Hazy, yellowish-orange pour with a fizzy white head. Sugary bubblegum aroma, some yeast, as well as a hint of apricot and clove (the apricot becomes more pronounced as I am drinking this). The taste is a bit lacking; no sweetness to be found only lemony citrus and some peaches (the peach flavor becomes more predominant as I am drinking this one). I can’t say that this is a bad beer; it’s actually decent (the normal good beer on a hot day crap). But as a hefeweizen it doesn’t give me what I want.

On draft at the brewery. Murky mustard pour with ring of bright white head. Nose is lightly fruity citrus which becomes more evident in the flavor, along with some banana, and black pepper. One of the better small brewery hefe’s out there.
