3.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 MisterDenson (78) - Virginia, USA - MAY 11, 2012
Rating #29 for 2012
12oz bottle chilled out of a stem glass. Aroma of tropical fruits, bread, and spice. 1/2 inch head atop of a honey golden ale, consistent spotty lacing. Taste was of banana peel, spices, hints of mango, and light coffee finish. Medium carbonation finishes clean and tickles the nose slightly.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 RABinVA (685) - Fredericksburg, Virginia, USA - APR 30, 2012
Pours a hazy yellow with an off-white head. Big whiffs of banana and malts. The taste is ripe banana and yeast with a good dose of malt to balance things out, but the banana definitely breaks through. I find this beer typically has too much banana for people for don’t like that in their beer. Personally one of my favorites from Legend.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 dpento1 (236) - Virginia, USA - OCT 10, 2011
Pours a cloudy yellow, with a small off white head. Aroma of banana, clove, and lemons. Flavor is much of the same, with some yeast added, finishes clean. Very refreshing and one of Legend’s better offerings!
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 tia (763) - Sandston, Virginia, USA - AUG 12, 2011
Decent, but the flavor is a little overly spiced. Hazy golden. Nice clovey banana-y aroma.
2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 nick76 (4077) - Tampa, Florida, USA - AUG 4, 2011
The aroma is very inviting and true to the style with cloves, bananas, incense, and wheat. The appearance is cloudy gold with an average head for he style. The taste is not great with water and most of the elements from the aroma. The palate is thin but smooth. Overall a bit sub par but not bad.

I think this is Legends best offering. Nice heffe with a light and crisp body with just enough wheat to make it cloudy and cool.

Pours cloudy golden from bottle. A decent white head that leaves some lacing. Medium mouthfeel. Big estery notes on the tongue. Finishes clean. I think this is one of the better American hefe’s.

Pours hazy light amber with a small white head and a tiny amount of lacing. Aroma is of wheat, grass, malts and a little citrus. Nice wheat, citrus flavor with a malt backbone and a light hop finish.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20 mattyb83 (733) - Minnesota, USA - JUN 9, 2011
Bottle. Pour is a hazy yellow-brown color with a small white head. Aroma is cloves, some wheat, and slight banana. Holy crap there is a ton of clove in the flavor of this beer. Slight amount of wheat is present as well, but really that clove just over powers this beer. Medium to light in body. This beer is for you if you absolutely love cloves.

Poured into a white wine glass (that’s all that was available) at The Cheese Shop in Williamsburg.

Hazed yellow with a brown tint from the yeast. Diddn’t get much head, but improper glassware will do that to ya. Nose is jam packed with clove. A good bit of banana and yeast as well. Taste is clove and banana again, but not as strong as the nose. Still quite tasty though. Medium body. Good carbonation and a good creaminess - super smooth. A very solid hefe.
