COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Hefeweizen is 45% malted wheat, and 55% barley malt. Much of the character of this beer comes from its unique yeast, which is not filtered out, so it tends to leave the beer cloudy. The wheat portion of this ale creates a light, crisp, dry brew perfect for drinking on a hot day. The beer is lightly hopped with Saaz, but the aroma and most of the flavor of this beer come from the wheat beer yeast. Beer Geek Stuff: Original gravity: 11.8„a Plato, final gravity 2.0„a P Lightly hopped with Mt. Hood and Saaz. Hazy white-yellow colored served unfiltered and cloudy. Brewed with 55% Vienna malt and 45% wheat malt. Fermented with authentic German wheat beer ale yeast.

Hazy gold appearance, decent head, little lacing. Yeasty, fruity, spicy aroma. Slightly sour at the start but that faded as it developed a soft, malty sweetness with only a light amount of hops to add to the balance. Well carbonated with a spicy, medium length finish.

Very nice Hefe. A great balance between the citris overtones and soft wheat sweetness. Perfect for summer. Nice job Legend.

Tap @ legend - lemon with notes of funk. Cloudy yellow with a thin white head. Some lacing on the glass, a bit thin palate wise.

Rating #29 for 2012 12oz bottle chilled out of a stem glass. Aroma of tropical fruits, bread, and spice. 1/2 inch head atop of a honey golden ale, consistent spotty lacing. Taste was of banana peel, spices, hints of mango, and light coffee finish. Medium carbonation finishes clean and tickles the nose slightly.

Pours a hazy yellow with an off-white head. Big whiffs of banana and malts. The taste is ripe banana and yeast with a good dose of malt to balance things out, but the banana definitely breaks through. I find this beer typically has too much banana for people for don’t like that in their beer. Personally one of my favorites from Legend.

Pours a cloudy yellow, with a small off white head. Aroma of banana, clove, and lemons. Flavor is much of the same, with some yeast added, finishes clean. Very refreshing and one of Legend’s better offerings!

Decent, but the flavor is a little overly spiced. Hazy golden. Nice clovey banana-y aroma.

The aroma is very inviting and true to the style with cloves, bananas, incense, and wheat. The appearance is cloudy gold with an average head for he style. The taste is not great with water and most of the elements from the aroma. The palate is thin but smooth. Overall a bit sub par but not bad.

I think this is Legends best offering. Nice heffe with a light and crisp body with just enough wheat to make it cloudy and cool.

Pours cloudy golden from bottle. A decent white head that leaves some lacing. Medium mouthfeel. Big estery notes on the tongue. Finishes clean. I think this is one of the better American hefe’s.

Pours hazy light amber with a small white head and a tiny amount of lacing. Aroma is of wheat, grass, malts and a little citrus. Nice wheat, citrus flavor with a malt backbone and a light hop finish.
