COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
German-style beer with clean, crisp taste, a light bitterness and a pleasant hop aroma, medium body and pale color, offering far more character and flavor than typical American lager-style products.

[Draft at Capital Ale House Fredericksburg, VA] Poured a dark golden color with a small, white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of toffee, honey, toast, some citrus, and a bit of corn. Taste of toasted malts, toffee, dough, and light citrus. Quaffable.

On tap @ the brewpub-clear golden color w/a moderate white head. Faint grain aroma w/traces of diacetyl. This one was somewhat skunked. Flavors of corn, bread dough, hop & diacetyl. Worst beer I had here, wasn’t a good start. Fortunatly, things picked up f/here

Pours clear golden with a rocky off-white head. The aroma has lots of butter, smooth minimally toasted pale malt, odd fruitiness and some plastic. Medium body with mild carbonation. The flavor starts with some sour fruit, funked up maltiness and light tartness. The finish is very medicinal and off-sourness. Not a good beer.

Clear gold with big white head. Smells husky, corny, and clean. Flavor of grain and a bit cloying. Medium body. Butter only in the finish this time. This is often a butterbomb of diacetyl.

Alliteration aside I think this beer is decent for the style. Nice cereal malt flavors and slight citrus make this a way more entertaining beer than some of these other posts are making it out to be. Decent floral nose and decent body with a finish of a fruity light sweetness.

My Bottom Line:
Honeyed cereals benefit from a noble hop middle in this slick and quiet Premium Lager ot the utmost simplicity.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A slice of foam sinks into the clear golden.
-There are barely any hops in the finish.
-The body is lean and clean, and appropriately carbonated.
-Malts provide few flavors yet sustain nicely throughout the pint.
-This is inherently drinkable, so I guess they are reaching their goals, but I cannot say it is memorable nor tasty.

On tap at The Green Leafe Café in Williamsburg, VA.

Pours a light corny yellow with a large white head. Some how the miracale workers at Legend have found a way to bottle a Natural Lite in there bottle! Im pretty sure the forgot to even include hops in this batch. I am embarassed to be from Virginia.

This is on tap at the resturant/bar I work at, I’ve had people order it and they are suprised by it, people usually love it, some say it tastes weird and they think the keg has gone bad... White head. It is hoppy with a big bread flavour, bright, lemon grass. Decent palate, decent beer. very widley available in my location. I can buy it at the grocery store, as well as on tap at several local bars.
