theacelatrain (262), Washington DC, USA Jun 13, 2006 Bottle. Pours light, hazy yellow with loose, white head. Aroma of sour lemongrass, salty celery, and yeast. Light grass flavors with puckery lemon, apple tartness. Odd, faint saltiness continues from the nose to the mouth. Lingering lemon-juice sourness on the back of the tongue. Inoffensive but weak – lacking a malt backbone.
Butters (306), Richmond, Virginia, USA Jul 27, 2008 Clear gold with big white head. Smells husky, corny, and clean. Flavor of grain and a bit cloying. Medium body. Butter only in the finish this time. This is often a butterbomb of diacetyl. jrob_21 (841), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Jan 30, 2008 Alliteration aside I think this beer is decent for the style. Nice cereal malt flavors and slight citrus make this a way more entertaining beer than some of these other posts are making it out to be. Decent floral nose and decent body with a finish of a fruity light sweetness. MartinT (4316), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Jan 14, 2008 My Bottom Line:
Honeyed cereals benefit from a noble hop middle in this slick and quiet Premium Lager ot the utmost simplicity.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A slice of foam sinks into the clear golden.
-There are barely any hops in the finish.
-The body is lean and clean, and appropriately carbonated.
-Malts provide few flavors yet sustain nicely throughout the pint.
-This is inherently drinkable, so I guess they are reaching their goals, but I cannot say it is memorable nor tasty.
On tap at The Green Leafe Café in Williamsburg, VA. raiderfost (156), virginia beach, Virginia, USA Nov 18, 2007 Pours a light corny yellow with a large white head. Some how the miracale workers at Legend have found a way to bottle a Natural Lite in there bottle! Im pretty sure the forgot to even include hops in this batch. I am embarassed to be from Virginia.
choiceblanket (7), USA does not count Nov 16, 2007 This is on tap at the resturant/bar I work at, I’ve had people order it and they are suprised by it, people usually love it, some say it tastes weird and they think the keg has gone bad... White head. It is hoppy with a big bread flavour, bright, lemon grass. Decent palate, decent beer. very widley available in my location. I can buy it at the grocery store, as well as on tap at several local bars.
