COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Never before tasted, never before seen. Only three kegs were created of this rare treat. One for tonight, one for the brewery, and one for the Virginia Beer Festival in Midlothian on July 3rd. Thanks to John and Mike at Legend Brewing for making this happen!

A definite favorite from the Virginia Beer Festival, glad I got to try it after having missed it when it originally came around while I had a head cold. Medium amber. Aroma was grapefruit and pine hops with a touch of oak. Flavor matched with a bit of caramel that nicely accented both the oak and hops. Everything integrated really well, good example of how to use oak and not destroy the other components of the beer. Nice.

Sampled at the 2nd annual Virginia Beer Festival at Capital Ale House Midlothian. Pours a clear bronze color with a medium head. Decent head retention and lacing. The aroma features lots of vanilla and other oaky notes over faint leafy hops. Taste is citrus hops with nice resiny bitterness, peach and vanilla. Medium bodied. Nice beer.

On tap at Capital Ale House - Downtown on 06/04/2009. Clear dark amber body with a medium frothy off-white head, Big citrus and floral hop aroma with some light oak. Sweet oak flavor with some floral and citrus hops and a bit of yeastiness and a hint of butter. Medium body with moderate carbonation.
