Serving: Draft. Appearance: Amber color with a creamy, off-white head. Good head retention. Aroma: Earthy hop nose with light malt notes. Flavor: Earthy hops, caramel, and a bit of citrus. Decent balance between hops and malt with the hops winning out. Palate: Medium, carbonation with a medium mouthfeel Overall: Not a bad APA. Worth a shot if you are at the brewery.

Pours copper with a white head. Smells of spice, earthy. Tastes spicy and peppery with a dry finish.

Bomber courtesy of kinz. Pale aroma of malts but sniffer is little off with all the citrus trees out here blooming at this time. Orange body with white creamy head and good amount of lacing on glass. Flavor had a malted caramel backbone but enough hop mix to balance it out. Good refreshing beer on the palate.

Drake (4803) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - JAN 6, 2009
22 ounce bottle from Whole Food Market, Charlottesville, VA. Pours a copper color with a very large head, good head retention and thick lacing. Very cascade-ish hop aroma with some subtle malty notes in the background. Taste is earthy and citrus hops with some caramel malt notes. Medium boded. Very straightforward, but solid.

On tap @ the Brewpub-Copper color w/a small off white head. Slight citrus aroma. Strong hop bite on the front end w/a metailc tinge to it, some citrus as well. Not really my favorite style & this one won’t win me over, just couldn’t get too excited @ it. Had a short malt finish. Average @ best.

Butters (2841) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - JUL 14, 2008
Draft at brewery. Copper pour with orange-red hightlights and good light tan head. Fruity and floral hop nose. Smooth hop bite at the finish. But admittedly, I’m not a huge fan of the style.

Poured an amber color with a small, off white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of floral hops, citrus fruits, cereal, toffee, and a bit of cardboard. Taste of caramel malts, citrus fruits, pine and a medium, grapefruit finish.

22oz bottle acquired in trade with dkachur (thanks!). Poured a medium amber color with a small sized off white head. Aromas of earthiness, wet grass, horse manure, and toasted caramel. Tastes of toasted malt, wet grass, caramel, and a lighter earthiness.
