COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The newest addition to our year round line. Our Pale Ale has a medium body, is orange to copper in color with a firm malt background, and emphasis on the hops with substantial hop flavor and a huge hop aroma.

Bottle. slightly sour, maybe it was past its best??? Gristy malt and resiny hops, Slightly sour bitterness, made me think it was either infected or it was old. An odd one.

Nov, 2005. Kilburn Palace Bottle Fest. Richmond Pale Ale. Very very bitter hop oil. Ugly and undrinkable. Default score.

Bottle at Chris’. Over carbonated beer. Slightly stale tasting, sour and overbitter. Not one of the better APAs.

Bottled at the Chris_O Beer, Cheese and Curry powwow. A murky amber coloured beer with a puddly white head. The aroma is sweet and floral, almost herbal in a way. The taste is over-sharp and over bitter. Not very good and possibly infected?

A mostly diminishing average fizzy white head tops up a muddy medium orange body. Moderate lacing. Few thin particles. Few small bubbles. Bottle conditioned. Aroma presents malt being moderate grain /caramel while hops are moderate citrusy ... Yeast character is heavy dough. Also, there are evident evocations of sulfur and roten acidic fruits. Initial flavor is moderate sour/citrus while development leads to phenolic impressions. Finish is medium Light to medium body... oily texture... Soft carbonation...

On tap @ the Brewpub-Copper color w/a small off white head. Slight citrus aroma. Strong hop bite on the front end w/a metailc tinge to it, some citrus as well. Not really my favorite style & this one won’t win me over, just couldn’t get too excited @ it. Had a short malt finish. Average @ best.

Weak orange aroma. Dark orange color, clear, with a medium yellow head. Taste is buttery, bitter, with a hint of orange peel. More grapefruity in the end.

Clear, light amber in color. Nice off white head, fine bubbles. Very nice aroma, floral with a touch of citrus. Flavor is a little odd. Not so bitter but plenty hoppy. Also has an unpleasant vegatative property. Grassy aftertaste. Has a kinda "homebrew" flavor to it. I think I’ll finish it, but dissapointing.

Bottle-conditioned, orange hued covered by a fully diminishing off-white head. Peppery, fruity nose full of tropical fruits, highly yeasty with full on sourdough nuances. It speaks of problems, but ceteris paribus, I find it quite appealing. In mouth, it grows quite catastrophic. I’ll be happy to give a go at a fresher sample, but since the whole range of legend we’ve tried showed drastic poor aging issues, I guess it has to be said they ought to be drunk as soon as possible. Possible yeast autolysis in this particular example where a sulphuric character chimes in with the gummy, citric fruits to lead us into a long lasting tart and phenolic/medicinal finish. Light-medium bodied, highly effervescent, airy textured.
