3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 tia (276) - Sandston, Virginia, USA - JAN 8, 2012
Tap @ Legend. Dark golden with thin dissipating head. Smells like pen ink. Light perfumy sweetness (not cloying) but doesn’t have the crisp hop of some pilseners.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 freekyp (1280) - Thomasville, North Carolina, USA - DEC 31, 2011
Pours very light amber, darker than most pilseners, with a small white tight bubbled head. Aroma shows grassiness and a slight hint of butterscotch. Thin and balanced with an aggressive bitter finish. Lacks body.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 boto (1549) - Granby, Connecticut, USA - AUG 23, 2011
Draught @ Brewpub. This one pours a crystal clear golden color. There was almost no head on it, and there was no lacing. Like their lager, the beer is pretty much devoid of aroma. Faint malts and maybe some grassy hops. The taste is OK, but very uninspiring. There was a weak bitter finish, with some faint malts. I wouldn’t bother with this one. Order the Lager is you are just interested in a cold one and nothing else.
2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 gsmitty80 (1362) - Washington DC, USA - MAY 11, 2011
This was the second Legend beer that i have had to pour out because it was terrible. Really thick and a bad mouth feel. Just not anything i remotely enjoyed.

Light Golden Color, some grass notes, plenty of bitter hops, a ncie pilsner, no head or lacing
3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Velkyal (203) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - APR 1, 2011
Pours a rich golden with a tight foamy white head. Upfront, the nose is bready and grainy with just the merest hint of freshly cut grass. Tastewise, the solid malty body and lemony/grass hops perform a hearty jig on the tongue, finishing with an assertive hop bite. Dry and clean in the finish. Too strong for a classic pilsner, but a worthy strong lager.
3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 MaltDawg (1344) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - JAN 15, 2011
(Sample Date: 10/13/2010 Source:Legend Brewery) Light graininess with spicy hop aroma and a touch of light fruit. Clear golden with a small white head. Spicy bitterness up front. Light grainy caramel flavor. Fairly clean and spicy. Dry clean spicy finish.

UPDATED: DEC 1, 2010 Location: Draft at Capital Ale House, 11/26/10
Aroma: The nose is clean and fresh, some grass, floral notes, and caramel malts
Appearance: This beer pours a clear golden-yellow color with a small white head
Flavor: The taste is malty, nice floral sweetness, and a crisp hoppy finish
Palate: A very nice, crisp and clean pilsner with a really solid drinkability
Overall Impression:
This is a really solid pilsner. Another really nice offering from a favorite hometown brewery of mine. Legend makes some very solid beers, and this one is no expection. It was quite smooth, flavorful, clean, and drinkable.
