lacing. Palate is foamy. Finish is fruity.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Elwood (1834) - Between a rock and a hard place, Virginia, USA - MAR 13, 2010
Serving: 22 oz. bottle from the Giant in Leesburg.
It pours a deep, deep gold color with a large, foamy, white head. The nose is very floral with notes of grain and honey sweetness. The taste is on the grainy side with some cereal notes, honey sweetness, and florals from the hops. The mouthfeel is medium-light with medium-high carbonation and a medium-long, bitter finish. This one seems to have all the pieces to the puzzle but can’t quite get them to fit. You get nice floral notes from noble hops but the grains overpower them and leave you with no crispness at all. A decent, abet short, attempt. Take it or leave it.

This one poured a golden yellow color with a white head. Aroma was really grassy, some barn, and bittering hops. Flavor was a bit of corn, grassy and musty hops, and very bitter, but not hop flavor, just bitter, much to the style for this one.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 potbeercollege (1322) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - DEC 22, 2009
Draught at Legend Brewery. A yellow with thinner head. Aroma is sweet and grassy, maybe lightly grainy/doughy. Flavor is sweet also. Diverse for a Pilsner...a good offering. Continuing, there is a lot of noticeable fruit throughout. Lighter bodied, definitely very refreshing.

Copper color, foamy head. Grassy aroma with a grainy background that also hinted at sweet dough or toffee. Or is it butterscotch? Sweetish butterscotch malts take precedent in the flavor with a grassy hop finish that is balanced and not very bitter. Decent enough but a touch more "euro strong lager" than pilsner.

On tap @ the Brewpub-Clear golden color w/a moderate white head. Light, grassy, dry hop aroma. Crisp, clean flavor of dry hops, grass/grain, & bread dough w/just a touch of sweetness. Very easy drinking, sesson type brew. Good balance; not overly hopped. One of the best brews offered during my visit.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 vyvvy (2798) - Florissant, Missouri, USA - SEP 27, 2008
Pours hazy yellow with a large soapy white head. The aroma has pils malt that is a bit fuller than normal with a hint of butter and not much as far as hops. Medium crisp body with a good amount of sharp carbonation. The flavor has clean smooth pils malt with some spicy hops with a bit of medicinalness. The finish is mildly sour. Okay beer.
