COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Wit was brewed on an authentic Belgian yeast strain (the same one used for our Tripel). Plenty of spicy yeast flavor blends nicely with actual spices added during the boil. We dosed this brew with a healthy amount of crushed coriander as well as dried orange peel for a distinct, refreshing aroma and flavor. One third of the malt bill is made up of wheat, which gives this beer a crisp, slightly tart flavor.

Think of this beer as the ďGatoradeĒ for your hot weather drinking pleasure, not too heavy, but still possessing plenty of flavor.

Legend White Ale was brewed with 2-row malted barley, Pilsner malt, ground wheat, and flaked wheat. The hopping is minimal, consisting of German Hallertau and Czech Saaz. Bitterness comes from a combination of the hops and spices, aroma from the yeast and spices.

A well spiced slightly malty winter white. A little darker than I picture a white in color. Good interesting spices and a nice body poured from a 12 oz bottle. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours a hazy amber color with a smallish head. Nose is rather sweet from the yeast, but you can get some hints of spices underneath. Taste is slightly sweet, but the spices come through a lot more. Not too bad for the style.

Poured from 12oz bottle. Golden hazy color with the aroma being fairly floral with obvious coriander notes as well. Kind of hard to find but would recommend it fully if you do

Location: 12 oz bottle from Normís, 4/13/12

Aroma: The nose has yeast, a mix of spices, some lemon/citrus, and a little bit of banana
Appearance: Pours a slightly cloudy golden-orange color with a small white head and spotty lace
Flavor: The taste is mid-sweet, with a light bitterness, and components that are very similar to the nose
Palate: The body is medium, with a fairly clean and refreshing feel, and some creaminess on the mouth
Overall Impression: Representing the RIC! I think this is the first time Iíve seen Legend outside of the Richmond Metro Area, and that is a good thing, as Iíve been a fan of their beers since way back in my days in Richmond. Iím sure Iíve had many, many of their beers well before my RB days, and Legend brown will always be my hometown micro, so nostalgia may cause my Legend scores to be a bit high (not intensionally). Anyway, that was a long winded way of saying donít discount my rating for this one. I thought this one was a great example of the style. It hit on all of the components, that I was looking for, and I couldnít find any real issues with it. An excellent, on-style Wit.

This poured a cloudy lighter yellow color with a white head. Aroma was lots of yeast, spices and some banana. Flavor was also lots of banana, very smooth spices, and somewhat refreshing. Nice beligan white.
