aubreya (666), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Dec 3, 2007 Tasted at WBF. Pour: amber, orange, amber. Head: fizzy and off white. Aroma: sweet, definite hops, caramel malt, grain. Flavor: good session, not enough malt, some hops. Palate: thin. Finish: clean. Skyview (2803), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Jul 23, 2007 On draught at the Legends - Ashwaubenon location. Pours a clear, coppery amber brew with a healthy off-white head that dissolves slowly that leaves behind an excellent sticky lacing. Aroma of sweet caramel malt, a touch of maple syrup, brown sugar and sweet fruity pears. Taste is medium to full bodied, very light carbonation, smooth, creamy with flavors of rich caramel malt, and dark bread dough. Could not detect the brown sugar or maple in taste. Finish is sweet and caramel malty with a slight passion fruit aftertaste. An absolute terrific Märzen that is released in August.
