Blackmouth Cur on austusavaldus Ameerika käsitööõlle pioneeridele. See õlu on saanud inspiratsiooni ameerika-tüüpi klassikalisest Pale Ale’ist. Tänaseks on Cascade humalatest saanud ameerika-tüüpi õllede tunnus. See greibi- ja männilõhnaline humal on ka Blackmouth Cur’i allkirjaks. Merevaigu karva värv, uhke vahukiht ja Vienna linnastest tulev linnaseline ja kergelt karamelline järelmaitse on meie kummardus pruulimeistritele, kes julgesid ja tahtsid õlle maitse taas esikohale seada.

Bottle at Drink Baar, Tallinn. Poured a clear dark amber with a thin white head. The aroma is resin hop. The flavour is medium bitter with a woody resin hop, lighty metallic palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Bottle. Clear amber color with a medium thick foamy off-white head. Aroma of spruce, pine and perfume. Sweet taste with just some bitterness. Medium thin body.

Bottle from Drink Shop in Tallinn (€ 2,60), July 2014. Batch 5. Pours a deep hazy amber with a tan retaining head. Some lacing, too. Nose is mild but fairly pleasant with floral sweet and piney resinous aspects most notable, caramel and maltiness in the background; leathery yeastyness and more malty as it warms. Taste is most driven by malts, a weak bitter finish; disturbingly metallic when warm. Low to medium carbonation, light body. Yet again a fairly thin, watery palate for a Lehe brew, must be their trademark or something. Overall it’s disappointing, as are - unfortunately - all 4 of Lehe’s brews so far.

(Bottle, 0.33 l - pruul nr 5 - BB 2014-11-29, at Hopner, 20140714) The beer poured deep amber and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had fruitiness, pine and caramel. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, pine, caramel, malts, molasses and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy, malty and bitter. The maltiness hid the hops a bit too much. Yet clean and tasty brew

One of my favourite APAs. Lovely aroma, a hint of caramel. The body is not as sharp as normal APAs, which makes it very easy to drink and enjoy. Have tried bottled versions batches 01,02,03,04.

Dark amber body, off white head. Aroma has rich resiny hoppiness, some berries, dark caramel and bit roasted notes. Flavour is nice and intense hoppy, bit resiny and dark. Well balanced and quite rich in flavour for pale ale.

33 cl bottle @ Hopner. Aroma has fruity hops and glueish tones. Also caramel. Feels sweet and heavy. Flavour is a bit thin with some caramel and resiny hoppiness. Also some malty tones with bread and toffee. Aroma was nice but this needs a stronger body. At the end of the glass this is not that thin though.

yes! I like this beer very much! excellently balanced full body and has slightly sweet honey aroma. taste is not as sharp as you would expect from APA. it’s very drinkable for a craft. Can be easily enjoyed independently and one after another.
