COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A special beer for connoisseurs: Zeppelin Beer is a naturally cloudy, unfiltered specialty beer. It’s a so-called cellar beer; its natural cloudiness and the finest ingredients from the Lake Constance area make Zeppelin Beer and heavenly experience.

bought at the brewery. The brewmaster told me that Zeppelin Bier is brewed instead of theri Zwickel now. Zeppelin-Bier is only availablein 1 litre and 3 litre bottles, directly at the brewery or at a few other places minly in Friedrichshafen (where the legendary Zeppelins are built). Cloudy Amber-brown colour, creamy beige head. Wonderful aroma of hops, quite perfumy and flowery. Full-bodied, yeasty with a fantastic hoppy flavour, perfumy, flowery, slightly fruity. Solid malty base. Well matured and pleasantly fine carbonation. This beer is full of intensive flavours and still extremely quaffable. Fantastic! Briliant! I can’t write more now, have to finish my beer...

International Green Week, Berlin 2012: at last we reach Hall 12, the hall dedicated to German breweries and food to go with beer. We find a table and seats by the Andechs bar, leave the womenfolk to keep the area safe and start to forage for beers. Loads of breweries and beers to choose from and for some reason I broke one of my own golden rules ‘always try the draught beers, you’ll find bottles again, but may never get the chance to have the beer on tap again’. So a .33cl bottle of this brew caught my eye as I wandered around and I had to have one. This unfiltered brew comes with a natural cloudy look, red/brown in colour: on top a thatch of white bubbles, the head left almost before I got back to the table and no lacing was produced by what remained floating on top as I sat down. The smells were of malty bread/toast and some sweeter molasses; a hop hint as the beer warmed: this was the best bit I’m sorry to say, it went downhill from now on. The taste was on the malty side and appeared one dimensional in flavour: I expected a lot more to be honest, thin and lacking in substance for a 5.2%ABV brew. The hops just didn’t show at all, no bite or crispness to the brew, I struggled to find anything nice to say about this beer, so I’ll curtail the review now!

Bottle. Pours an average iced-tea brown with an aroma of malted and roasted candy with a light hint of wet autumn leaves. Flavor is a malted, doughy autumn leaf hopped in caramelized nuts that have gone stale. Average mouthfeel. This beer goes over like a lead zeppelin.

Big malty body .A bit skunky -might need a rerate just to confirm there weren’t storage issues with this one. Fairly straight forward and not a lot to it. Solid bitter finish. A bt unremarkable.

Bottle- Poured into sniffer..Pour Is brown with tint of red, Aroma of Figs and malts..Taste is figs and some sort of nectar, with malts and a good bit of carbonation. palate is light with fruit lingering. This is a pretty good beer, but not very easy drinking for me, To much sugar or fruit flavors

A fairly good session brew – it pours up a cloudy murky brown body sporting a nice foamy head that dissipates rather quickly and leaves very little lacing on the sides of the mug. Scents and flavors of the standards: hops, malts and some fruits of some sort. Nothing over the top but is a good brew to have during a few sessions.

Smells of corn. Hint of dark caramel, but mostly corn in the aroma. Didn’t know Germans used corn in their beer. I want Reinheitsgebot damn it! Pours a brown-amber color with a modest head. Modest medium malt flavor with some sweetness that lingers. For a 5%ish beer this is almost cloyingly sweet. Thin body and off balance character makes this beer un-enjoyable. I’ve had worse beers, but not in a while.

Nutty, toasted malt aroma. The appearance is a nice amber, very cloudy, sediment. The flavor is also toasted malts, nutty. The finish is noble hop bitterness. Medium in body. Decent.

nice cloudy amber with a large and quickly diminishing empty bubble white foam head. primarily malty aroma but well balanced by the hips. flavor is the same. fjll and clean but just not what you are looking for.

Pours amber with a small white head. Smells malty with hints of breadiness from the lager yeast. Tastes like caramel and breadiness. Between medium and full-bodied with a crisp texture and lots of carbonation, Zeppelin finishes crisp and clean.

I know nothing about this beer other than Plyler likes it. Turns out this is tasty beer, though, mildly fruity and sweet with the slightest of musty tartness. The finish is mild yet dry, thankfully staying away from the estery sweet route. Drinks easy and smooth, even if it isn’t the sexiest of pints. Worth checking out.
